Verse 6 – Repented God that He had made man

The Striving of God’s Spirit
Genesis 6:3
Speaks of a limited time frame in which man can repent
In this passage the time frame given is specific
This is the length of time it took Noah to complete the Ark
What is the work of God’s Spirit?

This is simply God’s reaction to the sin that had overtaken His creation
Repented – Sorry – Grieved
Since God cannot commit sin or do evil,how then can He repent?
God simply went from a state of fellowship with man to one of judgment against man

Lessons to Be Learned
Sin has a progressive nature

Obedient faith is the only answer to sin
Wickedness may be great,but God is willing to save the faithful
