Roger is a rep from Intergroup coming to report to the district. Intergroup’s business meeting is the 3rd Wednesday of the month @ 7pm GSIG Zone Rep– Vincent – District 17 is now an active Intergroup district so they’re beginning to work with GSIG. GSIG was fined for not taking care of 2011 taxes on time, more information later. High & Dry magazine needs a proof reader, see Vincent or contact GSIG if you are interested. They also need a qualified bookkeeper, had to hire out because they couldn’t find one from within the program. Contact GSIG if you’re a bookkeeper who would be interested in helping out. COMMITTEE CHAIR REPORTS FROM MAY 2013
DCM REPORT – Peg S. Hello District 24!!! First off...Big thanks to Anna and Vincent for saying "yes" to service and hosting a completely awesome picnic. Thanks to everyone that came early and helped set up, the ones that stayed late and helped clean up, the volunteers for the games, baseball, bingo…..I could go on. And how about all the chefs flipping burgers, and dogs? We can do together what we could never do alone....Also, thank you to all the home groups that donated raffle prizes. It was a great day and a great success. Once again, thanks to all! The pre-assembly was on Aug 4 and for those of you that could not make it, I hope you are able to either go to another pre-assembly with other districts, or get together with someone who did attend and they could go over the motions and discussion topics. We need to take these topics to our home groups and ask their opinion on how they would like us to vote at the Assembly in October. Hope you have registered for the Assembly. Remember if you need to, there will be opportunity to share rooms with other GSRs. What an experience we'll have!! In Grace, Peg DCM 24 A MESSAGE FROM the PI BOOTH CHAIR
@ THE MONROE FAIR “Just wanted to say Thank You for your district’s contribution to the 2013 PI Booth Project. Please tell everyone at your next district meeting how much we appreciate their support. We’ve received enough contributions to make this year’s expenses (even though the fairgrounds has increased the rent again this year), and there’s been lots of volunteers who want to staff the booth, so it looks like blue skies & sunshine for AA service, even if the weather forecast doesn’t agree.” Mike B. PI Booth Chair.
