THE PAVILION
An interplay of nature and sleek architecture, the Hazendal Pavilion is a striking setting to exchange vows in. It floats with effortless grace in the centre
of a pond offering picture-perfect views of the gardens, the Homestead and the distant Bottelary
Hills and Simonsberg.
The Pavilion can host an intimate ceremony accom-modating up to 20 pax and, for larger parties, guests

The luxurious Avant-Garde Restaurant offers an effortless blend of contemporary style and
discreet opulence. Complete with an aquarium, chandeliers and a hand-painted ceiling, it is a
magnificent setting for a fabulous party. With views of the wine cellar and a vodka distillery, this venue
will go a long way to creating a unique and elegant wedding experience.
The Wine Tasting Lounge is located in the estate’s original cellar and opens up to the Avant-Garde Restaurant. While the original cellar dates back
to 1870, this space has been completely reimagined and is blending traditional and contemporary design.
A statement bar and indoor fireplace with its copper detailing allows for a lavish and opulent
setting while a private tasting lounge can be seen floating above the bar.

onto the premises. Hazendal has the right to
confiscate any food or beverages brought onto
the property.

arrangement of external suppliers, Hazendal’s in-house

General
FOOD / CATERING
• All food and catering are to be arranged by Hazendal only.
• Hazendal’s Executive Chef takes a unique approach by custom
designing a menu for each special celebration. Please note,
menu prices are subject to change.
• The consultation with Hazendal’s Executive Chef followed by a
tasting can be arranged and is to be booked three months in
advance, subject to the Chefs’ schedule.
• Final guest numbers to be confirmed 14 workings days prior to
the wedding.
• STRICTLY HALAAL AND KOSHER WEDDINGS: for outsourced
catering a kitchen hire fee of R12 000.00 plus a 10% commission
on your final food and beverage invoice will be charged.
Outsourced caterers are to bring in a mobile kitchen (for client’s
own account) and can be set up in the banqueting kitchen
located behind The Grand Hall. Outsourced caterers will not
have access to the Hazendal kitchen and may not use the
kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Hazendal requires all outsourced caterers to do a site visit to
view the kitchen facilities available.

• Please enquire for a list of recommended suppliers.
• Clients are required to make use of a professional florist and
décor supplier.
• All décor requirements are to be arranged by the client or
appointed coordinator. Hazendal is unable to assist in any way
with the décor set up or breakdown of décor elements.
• Florists to bring in their own table for set-up purposes and are
responsible for the refuse removal of décor and flowers before
and after the wedding. Set-up and breakdown times to be
confirmed by Hazendal’s Wedding Coordinator.
• Installations are to be confirmed with Hazendal in writing prior
to the wedding and suppliers are required to do a site visit.
Suppliers are not allowed to drill any hooks into the walls
or ceiling.
• Hazendal requires all lighting and electrical suppliers to be
registered and qualified. All electric faults will be charged to the
client should there be any damages.
• Hazendal requires all suppliers and service providers to
complete an indemnity form. This is non-negotiable.
• Hiring companies shall be responsible for the set up and
breakdown of hired furniture
• Ceremony chairs for the Pavilion are to be hired in on the
client’s account.
FLOWERS AND DÉCOR
• Hazendal has a fully licensed bar.
• The bar will strictly be managed by Hazendal. The client
may not outsource a bar of any sort.
• Final bar arrangements must be finalized 14 working days
prior to wedding.
• Open bar options require prepayment. In the event of
additional beverage consumption, a card payment is
required to settle the outstanding balance on the day of
the wedding.

We would love to show you around the estate and walk you through the different venues on the Estate. Viewings are preferably by appointment. Please
arrange with the Hazendal Wedding Coordinator to schedule a date and time.
O V E R T I M E
Hazendal allows for up to two hours overtime at an additional cost of R2 500.00 per hour. Additional staff costs will apply.

Unfortunately, the weather is out of our control and our team will not take responsibility for any outdoor weddings and arrangements made. We will however,
try our best to come up with a suitable alternative. Should you require the use of one of our other venues, additional venue hire charges will become payable in
the event of a price difference.

Hazendal is equipped with a generator that automatically switches over in the event of a power failure or load shedding.
R E F U N D A B L E D E P O S I T S
A R5 000.00 refundable deposit is required in case of any breakages, shortages and damages to any property of Hazendal Wine Estate and will automatically
be added the client’s invoice.
D E P O S I T S A N D PAY M E N T S
50% of the venue hire and refundable deposit is payable to secure the date and booking. Balance payment is due 14 days prior to the wedding.

Together with your deposit, a signed contract is required to finalize the booking and date. Please carefully read through the document and if you have any
questions, the Hazendal Wedding Coordinator will be of assistance to address any of your queries.
