Historic Jack House & GardensNestled in the south end of Downtown San Luis Obispo, the Historic Jack House and Gardens offer a wonderful place for weddings, receptions, garden parties, fundraisers and other special events. Available for use from April through October, the grounds feature a gazebo, patio area with fountain, open grass area, kitchen, barbecue area and bridal suite.

List of FeesPayment of applicable fees insures exclusive one day (8 a.m. to 10 p.m.) use of the Jack House Gardens including the entire garden area, gazebo, covered patio, large barbecue, small kitchen, changing room/bridal suite and restrooms.

BOOKING FEE $100Due two weeks after receiving a facility reservation permit, the fee is non-refundable unless there is a cancellation due to rain or if the date may be rescheduled. Booking fees are applied to the facility reservation.

REFUNDABLE CLEANING DEPOSIT $345 (required for all uses of the Jack House Gardens)

TABLE and CHAIR RENTALS $172 Includes: 150 white plastic chairs 6 banquet tables (30”x 72”) 16 round tables, 72” (seat 8-10 people) 4 round tables, 60” (seat 6-8 people)

TOURS OF THE JACK HOUSE (by request only) $50 Use of the main house is not included with reservations of the Jack House Gardens.

FINAL PAYMENT: The remaining balance of facility use fees, refundable cleaning and table/chair rentals are due 10 days prior to the event. All checks should be made payable to CITY OF SAN LUIS OBISPO.

INSURANCE REQUIRED: A Certificate of Insurance providing Public Liability and Property Damage is required 30 days prior to the event. Use of the Jack House Gardens is not permitted without this insurance. Insurance for events may be purchased through the Parks and Recreation Department. If alcohol will be included at your event, Liquor Liability Insurance is also required and is also available for purchase through the Parks and Recreation Department. Please ask for current rates.

MORE DETAILS:• The gardens accommodate up to 300 people.• The gardens are available for use April through October.• The venue may be reserved one year in advance.• Amplified sound may not exceed 60 decibel levels.• With use of the facility, four metered parking spots are included.
