Q: What kind of technology do you use for your websites? Accessibility & Expandability?

Comments: Sites built on frames & tables display differently in browsers and devices. Flash does not show up on iPhones and iPads. Expandability?

Q: What are all the costs associated with developing a website? What’s included?

Comments: Most develops have a page limit and will charge extra after a certain amount of pages.

MIAGD: $2,299 one-time dev fee, $44/mo for hosting, + any add-ons (extra), unlimited pages!

Q: What’s included in the hosting fee?

MIAGD: Web space & infrastructure, 5 email accounts (optional), content management support, DNS management.

Q: What is the development process?

MIAGD: Anything. We can convert any mock up / image file into a website on our platform. So start with something you already like, use another designer (ie. 99designs.com), or give us creative control. We like to keep a consistent brand so you can also send us marketing collateral, PowerPoint presentations and more.

Q: Do you offer a Content Management Platform (CMS) so I can update content myself?

MIAGD: Yes. You can easily manage content, documents, videos, images, menus, blog articles, seo and more.

Q: What features do you offer for compliance?

Q: Where will the website be hosted?

Comment: Your site should be hosted through a major provider. These firms place a lot of value in their infrastructure, security, up time, and technology.

MIAGD: Our sites are hosted at 1and1.com. “The world's largest web hosting provider.”

NOTES:

Q: Can I host private documents for my clients? If so, what kind of security can you provide?

Comment: Make sure providers can offer at least a 128 bit SSL (https:) certificate. If the documents you plan host contain account numbers social security numbers you should have a 256 bit SSL. This is what banks use. Document links should also be hidden.
