Now as I was on the home page of the website. I first noticed the layout of the page. At the top there is a creepy looking face, with a creepy looking island. This makes it seem mysterious, without knowing the story it is obvious to guess that the movie may have some mystery/ thrill. The colors use are also dark, which add a shady effect. And again contribute to portraying the movie’s genre. I liked how there was a 3D visual of the clouds and the sound of the water surrounding the island, making it more appealing. Also on the homepage there is the trailer of Shutter Island playing. Along with the title there are also four tabs that open up. 1) Videos2) About3) Cast & Film Making 4) Downloads

On the first tab, which is videos, opens up to various videos relating to the movie. Like interviews of the cast and the makers, along with teasers and other videos that may have been released in the making of Shutter Island.

The second tab, was about, it had two sections to it. Synopsis and Reviews. The synopsis had a short summary of the plot of the movie and the reviews had the opinions and views of people who had watched the film.

The third tab, cast and film makers displayed the names of the cast (their actual names along with their character names). In the film makers it displayed the names along with what they contributed to the film (Director/producer etc.. )

In the fourth and last tab, there are downloads from which you can download wallpapers and aim icons. These are available to download in different sizes.

• In my opinion, the website for Shutter Island is the perfect example of what I would want to relate and compare my own website to. It fits the theme of psychological thriller, with its dark colors, creepy background pictures. Also the website gives viewers a spook of interest. By putting the “mysterious” looking face of Leonardo DiCaprio, it becomes more appealing to his fans and followers, like myself.
