For New WebAssignUsers
Login to Your WebAssign Course
1. Visit:
https://www.webassign.net/wa-auth/login
2. Enter your anonymousID# followed by ‘@ualberta.ca’ in the field labelled ‘Email Address or Username’. For example: [email protected]
3. In the field labelled ‘Password’ enter ‘UA’ followed by your anonymousID#. For example: UA1234567890

Locating your Anonymous ID
A. Log in to your personal BearTracks account
B. Click on the “My Class Schedule” link on the left hand side of your home screen.

A. View your Anonymous I.D. directly below your student I.D. number.
Verify Payment
Now that you have accessed your WebAssign account, you have a 14-day grace period from the start of classes before you have to enter your access code as proof of purchase.
5a. If you have yet to purchase your access code, click ‘I’ll do it later.’
5b. If you have purchased your access code, click ‘Verify Payment.’
Note: Access codes are sold in the bookstore packaged with the textbook. They can also be purchased alone in store or online

Purchase Access
A. DO NOT purchase access through your WebAssign account. You will be charged in US dollars.
B. If you have an access card or have already purchased access online: Redeem your access code.
Note: If you purchased a standalone code from the UofABookstore, you will need to redeem this code on the bookstore website in order to obtain your Nelson access code. Your Nelson access code will be in the form of:
Cengage-XXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX
Please be sure to include the‘Cengage’ prefix.

For Returning WebAssignUsers
Login to Your WebAssign Account
1. Visit:
https://www.webassign.net/wa-auth/login
2. Enter your anonymous ID# followed by ‘@ualberta.ca’ in the field labelled ‘Email Address or Username’. For example: [email protected]
3. In the field labelled ‘Password’ enter the password that you had used during the previous semester to login to WebAssign. If this doesn’t work, please try ‘UA’ followed by your anonymousID#. For example: UA1234567890
4. Click ‘Sign In’.

Linking AccountsIf you have used WebAssign with this textbook prior to 2016, you will need to link your new Anonymous ID account with the account that you used previously to access WebAssign.
Click on ‘My Accounts’ in the upper right hand corner of your WebAssign home screen.
A. Select ‘Accounts’ from the pop-up window that appears.
B. Under the ‘Accounts’ tab, enter your Username and Password from your previous account
C. Enter your current password that is associated with your new anonymous account
D. Press the ‘Save’ button to link these accounts.
