Instruction on How to Submit Assignments with attached files via Blackboard.

1. Make sure that all source codes in Oracle_Ch2_Lname_Fname.sql are all tested successfully by checking a sample output available on the Bb. You then spool both source codes and output and save them on Oracle_ch2_Spool_Lname_Fname.text. Please note that the *.txt file should include class and your personal information, Row#, source codes of SQL and output produced from SQL>.

2. Follow the steps listed below for uploading doc(s) or entering your answer/response into Blackboard (Bb) and “Submit” it to the instructor. Fail to follow the instruction, your answer may not be reached to the instructor, and, consequently, you might not receive the grade.

Three steps are summarized below and detailed steps are illustrated on the following pages:

a) Logon the Bb and click on “Assignments & Projects” on the main menu (as [1] shown in Figure 1) the “Assignments & Projects” menu is displayed.b) Click “Click here for (General) Instruction on how to Submit Assignment via Bb” (as [2] shown in Figure 1), the instruction file will be displayed for you to view or print. Do not move to next step (c) unless you complete the spool.c) Click “Oracle-Chapter 2 (Bb Submission) ” (as [3] shown in Figure 1 - again, do this only after you complete “spool” since you are allowed to submit your answer only once before the due date. The “Preview Upload Assignment: Oracle-Chapter 2 (Bb Submission)” menu is displayed. Detailed steps are shown on the following pages.

2. click on “Oracle-Chapter 2 (Bb Submission) ” [3] as stated above when you completed your assignment.

4. Enter the Assignment Information on the “Text Submission” box.For example, enter the following information in the “Text Submission” box .

Dr. Chen,

Attached please find two files for Oracle Chapter 2 assignment.

John Smith

5. Next, you need to attach required file(s) for the assignment. Two files (source *.sql and output *.txt) should be attached  in this assignment.

5a) Click on “Browse My Computer” and locate the folder and file(s) that you want to attach.

5b) Select the first file (Word file) to be attached.

5c) Click “Open” to attach the first selected file.

5d) The first file has been attached (note : one file at a time).

5e) Repeat steps 5b) & 5c) to attach the second file.

7. Now you have completed the submission process and ‘Review Submission History’ is displayed.(a) Do NOT click ‘OK’ until you verify if all required files have been attached successfully.(b) Click ‘OK’ if all required files are attached ; otherwise, select ‘Start New’ and return 5(a).
