The Incarnation of God took place in the world through

the Virginity of Mother Mary.

The Apostolic Exhortation on the Consecrated life in no 28 tells us that “Mary is the one who, from the moment of her Immaculate Conception, most perfectly reflects the divine beauty. “All beautiful” is the title with which the Church invokes her”.

Mary in fact is the sublime example of perfect consecration, since she belongs completely to God and is totally devoted to him. Chosen by the Lord, who wished to accomplish in her the Mystery of the Incarnation, she reminds consecrated persons of the primacy of God’s initiative.

Consecrated life looks in her as the sublime model of consecration to the Father, union with the Son, and openness to the Spirit, in the knowledge that acceptance of the “virginal and humble life” of Christ also means imitation of Mary’s way of life.

Our Constitutions presents Mary to us “as the faithful Virgin, the one who says Yes to God and embraces His will in obedience by a faith. In accomplishing the Incarnation, God requires from her to receive the Word and to give it to the world. For ourselves, the dynamism of the spiritual ought St. Pedro De San Jose Betancur Province | News Bulletin - 02

Athimala the Advisor of Formation who helped us to grow with sense of belongingness and to live our lives with responsibility, love and generosity. They brought within us the awareness which is more important to do our apostolic experience. We learnt the way to adapt ourselves in the community where we will share and live through the attitude of resilience. We learnt to have the positive attitude and the ability to see the failures as a form of helpful feedback.

During this encounter we understood that our first mission is accepting and doing the will of God in all the situations and circumstances of our lives. We understood our mission means to be sent for a particular purpose but also it has to be shared with every human being by using our potential power in the mission to each person. We got knowledge about the communities and the apostolic mission of our Province which helped us to have the knowledge about our main mission what we are going to carry out, and the quality we need in our mission. These inputs sessions helped us to prepare, to discover and to transform our lives for the mission.

The year of Consecrated life is a call to go deep to the history of our institute to review our life in touch with the same spirit of our founders. As a part of our preparation to our final vows we had three days meeting with our Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Leena Mary Medabalimi and Rev. Sr. Michael Mazarella Pudhota the junior’s Mistress from 8th – 10th of January in the community of Porur.

We began our meeting on the 8th evening and Rev. Sr. Michael Mazarella Pudhota commenced it by explaining the objective of the meeting where she told us to be conscious of our preparation that we may give ourselves joyfully to the Lord.

The next day, our Provincial Superior Rev. Sr.Leena Mary Medabalimi began the meeting with a small prayer service to motivate us to enter into the reflective atmosphere. Sister spoke about “Radical love and a path of Light” in which sister gave some seventeen points to

evaluate our life humanly that may lead us to live our committed life meaningfully.

The following session was guided by Rev. Sr. Michael Mazarella Pudhota on the theme of “Aims of the Year of Consecrated Life” and sister explained about the reason for the period from Nov.30.2014 – Feb.2.2016. The three years are explained with the documents and in particular to remember the past with gratitude, to live the present passionately and to approach the future with hope. With this sister concluded saying that being in this year of preparation we need to foster dialogue with the elder sisters to learn their inspiring spirit and to respond it more effectively in the present. We believe and hope this year of preparation is the time to receive and enjoy riches of God’s grace and a time of transformation.

I thank my powerful Lord, through whom I’m Blessed and selected as a worthy instrument to continue His mission meaningfully. Also, I give my heartfulgratitude to our Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Leena Mary Medabalimi, her councilors and Rev. Sr. Mary Hilda Koppala, who have given us the good opportunity to participate and to have deepened experience to carry out my mission in a fruitful way. We were presented with the motto of the administrators “Like Christ in Bethlehem we must be completely available.”

In our gathering beautiful motivational thoughts and points were shared, among that “Our communities should witness to vow of poverty”. Not only as an individuals in religious life to bear witness to poverty, but we are called to witness as communities to testify to what the church requires was touched me more. Also, the role and function of a Treasurer was given very clearly. In that “Learn to be wise as a serpent and gentle as a dove, when dealing with the money and with the people. Be generous, to cater to the needs of the community was very reflect able and applicable. Then the Circular letter of Vatican City by Cardinal Braz De Aviz was discussed, in that ‘Religious congregation should commit to

transparency’ was kept in the first place. We were guided by two resource persons: Sr. Sargunam of the Holy Cross congregation and Bro. Velanganni Ravi of the Sacred Heart Congregation. They clearly explained to us regarding the maintaining of accounts. They dealt with us about the ‘double entry’ and Tally Programme. They were very patient in helping us to understand and made us to do them with examples for our better understanding.I express my heartfelt gratitude to our Provincial Superior Rev. Sr. Leena Mary Medabalimi and to Rev. Sr. Mary Hilda Koppala for this meeting. We hope to execute all what we learnt in our coming days in the mission.

“EDUCATION IS THE MANIFESTATION OF PERFECTION WHICH IS ALREADY IN MAN”

Our Provincial Superior Rev. The two days of seminars, call us to be a liberators to make the children to be good, intellectually competent, emotionally confident, socially

responsible citizens of tomorrow. Education is not information but it is a transformation of the children. Rev. Fr. Designing strategies for getting the scenario in our educational mission.

The salient features of our catholic school must be distinguished from other schools by these values:

1. Faith formation2. Spiritual transformation 3. Value education4. Commitment to the marginalized5. Towards a just society6. Communitarian approach in education7. A more committed and effective staff8. A neighborhood responsibility in education9. Institution of higher learning10. Qualitative education11. Universalization of education12. Vocational education 13. Ecology environment

We were given the thoughts on child protection policy to value dignity of student who are presented to us. Our building must be child friendly to facilitate supervision. Importance also given to the erecting of CCT camera in the schools.

Dr. Mamatha member of the child right commission Telangana State spoke about child right acts and its implications. Children play very important role in the school, each teacher’s responsibility to understand the children that they need to be observed, negligence, lack of care, emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse; verbal abuse, child exploitation and she gave us the brief introduction about RTE act where she stressed on corporal punishment which should be avoided. When we use violence we teach violence, respect, self discipline, character formation, child right club, training for teachers, parents-

We were given importance on the use of information communication technologies( ICTS) in the teaching and learning process by professor S.N. Prasad and school science education – Why and How?( Give me a place to stand and I will move the earth). Students should not feel the burden of learning science but they should understand science learning is meaningful,

He gave us a blessing to continue our service for the betterment of society in the field of education.

We thank whole heartedly Rev. Provincial Superior Sr. Leena Mary Medabalimi and Sr. Auxilia Athimala the advisor of the apostolate for the chance given to enrich ourselves to be a better educator.

The feast of our Lady of Bethlehem. This day was meaningfully lived and cherished by the sisters of all our communities in a creative manner manifesting our love and devotion towards our Lady of Bethlehem. She who faithfully lead the life of our Holy Founders in contemplating the love of the mystery of the Incarnation of her Son Jesus and to radiate the same love to all who were in need of their service. This feast day made us to feel that we Bethlemites are the daughters of the same Mother who is the mistress of all our lives. May “Our Lady of Bethlehem, the believing Virgin in whom faith shines as a gift, openness, answer and fidelity” (Const. 43), be with whom we walk full of joy, love and hope in the commitment with the announcement of the message of salvation with which, she resolutely and courageously work for the good of all mankind.
