Once there lived a great hermit, who was famous for telling truth. He had taken a vow not to tell lie was popularly known as 'Mr. Truthful'. No matter what he said; everyone believed him because he had earned a great reputation in the community where he lived and did his spiritual practices.

One evening, a robber was chasing a merchant to rob him. The merchant was running for his life. To escape from the robber, the merchant ran towards the forest where the hermit lived outside the village. The merchant felt every safe because there was no way that robber could find him out where he was hiding in the jungle. But hermit had seen the direction in which the merchant went.

The robber came to the hermit's cottage and paid his respects. The robber knew that the hermit would tell only the truth and could be trusted, so, he asked him whether he had seen somebody running away. The hermit knew that the robber must be looking somebody to rob, so he faced a big problem. If he told the truth, the merchant would certainly be killed. If he lied, he would incur the sin of lying and lose his reputation. Any immoral act that may harm other is called sin. Helen Adams Kelller was born on June 27, 1880 in Tuscumbia, Alabama. She was a happy healthy baby. Her father, Arthur worked for a newspaper and

her mother, Kate was housewife. She grew up on her family's large farm and enjoyed the animals including the horses, dogs and chickens. She stared speaking when she was six months old. When she was 19 months old, a high fever left Keller blind and deaf.

Martha Washington, the daughter of their family cook, was her friend while she was young. They developed a sort of sign languages so they could talk to each other. She also tried to communicate with other people a round her but ralied, she was different and it was extremely difficult to let others know what she needed. Frustated Keller would throw transtrums, kicking and hitting other people in anger. Her parents realized that she needed some special help.

In 19886, Keller's mother read a story by Charles Dickens that described how another deaf and blind child named Laura Bidman had been educated. Alexander Granham Bell taught speech to deaf students using a manual alphabet called 'Visible Speech' that was invented by his father. He referred Keller and her parents to the Perkins Institute for the Blind. There, they met a 20 yrs old former student named Anne Sullivan.

Sullivan had been blind until she had an operation at age 15 which restored some of her sight. She learnt the manual alphabet at Perkis School. Words. were sign into the palm of the hand where deaf-blinded person could feel the movement of fingures. The skill was critical for her success in working with Keller. Sullivan was loving, patient, determined Sullivan came to work with Keller 1887 and would be her helper and companion for next 50 yrs. Sullivan was called the 'Miracle Worker' for the way she helped Keller.
