Analysing 3 logos:

The style of this logo features both a symbol and name. logo uses visual triple entendres, with the pictorial element of this logo using positive space to form the symbol, this is combined with typographic elements that reflects the brands initials LV. This logo is evenly balanced. The contrast is created through the use of a black and white palette. This creates some visual variety and interest. The symbol suggests fashion and the name of the brand. These elements suggest a non-gender specific targeted audience, because these items can be purchased from either gender’s.

Refinements:

I feel like this logo turned out the best and most precise. It was just as I imagined it to be in my mind. I don’t think I could find any failures with this one.

This logo is the hardest refinement. Because I had to try repeat ‘SWALLA’ in a circular shape. It isn’t in an exact circle and the letters are a little wonky.

This logo was quite straight forward but effective. I like the simplicity of this one. It isn’t exactly even but I really like it for what I could do.

Practitioners Statement:

At the beginning of the assignment I had no idea what to do or what I wanted my logo to look like, but then I got a bit of inspiration from the STUSSY logo. I then found a word that meant peace in another language and then decided to put some characters on top of chosen letters to make it more unique. I had a few issues with in this assignment but none concerning this specific logo, because I found that once I started creating this logo it just came together straight away.

This official logo features the name of my fashion label. This logo uses visual triple entendres, through typographic elements that reflects the brand. This logo is evenly balanced. The contrast is created through the use of a black and white palette. This creates a sense of visual variety and interest. The symbol suggests fashion and the name of the brand. These elements suggest a non-gender specific targeted audience, because these items can be purchased from either genders and potentially any age can purchase it.
