When water vapour cools and turns to clouds. Rain, hail and snow falls from the clouds. When water that falls from the clouds, collects in the oceans, rivers, lakes, streams

When water on land drains away.

Earth’s land

1. The water cycle is the movement of water around the Earth’s surface.

2. Water is constantly moving from one place to another through the processes of evaporation, precipitation, transpiration, condensation, and runoff.

3. The water cycle is very important to life on Earth including humans, animals and plants.

4. Energy from the sun heats up the surface of the Earth, causing the temperature of the water in our rivers, lakes and oceans to rise.

5. When too much water has condensed, the water droplets in the clouds become too big and heavy for the air to hold them.

6. Water that reaches land directly may flow across the ground and collect in the oceans, rivers or lakes.

1. Water in the water cycle can exist as a solid, liquid, or gas.

2. Water is a resource that cannot be created by man.

3. The sun is the driving force of the water cycle.

4. About 70% of the Earth's surface is covered with water.

5. Water is not only stored underground but also in icecaps, snow, and glaciers.

6. Water is constantly being recycled so the water you drink today could be the same water dinosaurs drank millions of years ago.
