THE LORD’S DAY WORSHIP HYMNS AND PRAISE 12TH SUNDAY AFTER PENTECOST

“Here I Am, Lord”#525

1. I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard My people cry.All who dwell in deepest sin My hand will save.I who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright.Who will bear My light to them?Whom shall I send?

RefrainHere I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord?I have heard You calling in the nightI will go, Lord, if You lead me.I will hold Your people in my heart.

2. I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne My people’s pain.I have wept for love of them, They turn away.I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone.I will speak My word to them.Whom shall I send?

Refrain

3. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame.I will set a feast for them, My hand will save.Finest bread I will provideTill their hearts be satisfied.I will give My life to them.Whom shall I send?

RefrainPRAYER AFTER WORSHIP If you have a burden too much to carry alone or a thanksgiving to lift up to Jesus, an Elder will be available in the front of the sanctuary to pray with you. They consider it a great privilege to kneel or sit with you for a time of prayer seeking the Lord.

“Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” #356

1. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;Streams of mercy, never ceasing,Call for songs of loudest praise, Teach me some melodious sonnet,Sung by flaming tongues above;Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,Mount of God’s unchanging love!

2. Here I raise my Ebenezer, Hither by Thy help I’m come; And I hope, by Thy good pleasure,Safely to arrive at home.Jesus sought me when a stranger,Wandering from the fold of God;He, to rescue me from danger,Interposed His precious blood.

3. O to grace how great a debtor Daily I’m constrained to be!Let that grace now, like a fetter,Bind my wandering heart to Thee:Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,Prone to leave the God I love; Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, Seal it for Thy courts above.
