I think that the evil planets of Mars and Saturn have
moved closer together. This is causing everyone to get
sick!
The Black Death is caused by God. He became angry because people were spending too much time gambling, fighting and drinking.
The air was ‘corrupt’, meaning it has turned really bad. There were
so many bad smells that if you breathed them in you would catch
the plague.
Enemies were poisoning the wells, this was the reason why everyone was so sick. It was the work of witches and the Jewish!

Public health was terrible. There were no drains, sewers or rubbish collections. Rats lived in these conditions and germs easily re too.
The climate changed which made many harvest fail. When the plague hit, people just weren’t ready for it!

Trade allowed the plague to get to England, and helped spread it even more! Merchants could trade silk and spices worldwide, taking the plague wherever they went.
