Introduction

Words from GuitarCFD

Before I begin I need to credit TripAholix Gaming with a good bit of the information I’ve gathered, while I have certainly refined some of these with my own processes, the foundation came from Acer of Spades and he’s done amazing work putting the information out there in easy to understand videos. I, however, wanted to gather the information in text format for easy reference. For some of us that are older than YouTube, the .txt guide/walkthrough is something that can’t be replaced by a video.

It's about time I fill this particular guide out. We have a few players who are actively doing CoZ and showing up on the leaderboards day after day, and quite a few that aren't doing very well at all. The point of this guide in particular is to give you the tools you need to be successful at CoZ. So the first thing we need to cover is what exactly CoZ is.

Words from Acer of Spades

Clash of Zones is one of the most important events in the game of Last Shelter Survival. GuitarCFD has been more than an inspiration for this guide, he has been a pivotal movement in the direction of success that is CoZ. With that being said, take the time out to understand this document and understand the process of each day. If all else fails, contact me in real time, at any time on my Last Shelter Survival Tripaholix Gaming Facebook page and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. If you do not know what Clash of Zones is, watch this for the Beginners Guide to Clash of zones

Clash of Zones is a week-long competition between two different states in the game. Each day of the week has a different competition in which you will gain points for CoZ for completing different. The competitions are as follows

Monday - Gathering Day Tuesday - Building Day Wednesday - Tech Day (research) Thursday - Hero Day Friday - Troop Training Day Saturday - Kill Event (kill enemy troops)/Occasionally Free Development Day Sunday - Free Development

Now that you can see each day clearly there are somethings that might not be super obvious (or might be), but here are some things you should do.

Page 2: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

1. save all speed ups for their corresponding days. Only use building speed ups on building day, only use research speed ups on tech day and only use training speed ups on troop training day. (Base 25 Excluded)

2. If you have a building upgrade that is going to give you a lot of points (power x 1000) start it at a time that it will finish about 30-45 minutes after building day is started. That can be difficult to get precise sometimes, but at the very least make it finish during a time you will be online during building day. The same goes for research. (the difficulty is minimized by logging off the account and returning when the timer is on the correct hour. If you are not on, it will not give points until you are logged on)

3. For troop training day you can train the set of troops ahead of time and just not collect them. The points won't be tallied until you collect them, so you can have a full batch of fighters, shooters and vehicles already trained and ready to go for when you're ready. (this works for other days like KE when on the weekend and have training hours that give massive points and additional chests for daily events.)

4. If you are base level 20 or higher and have the VIP shop unlocked, save all your VIP points gathering day. (You can also buy VIP points at a discount price on gathering day)

5. If you plan on doing purchases, do those on Building day or Tech Day (all days are acceptable on circumstances. Gathering day can be a great day as well. Building and tech specifically give COZ points.)

6. Save ALL Wisdom Medals, Experience items and recruitment tickets for Hero Day, that one upgrade isn't going to help your hero that much, but each wisdom medal is 2000 coz points on hero day. (in the Tripaholix gaming video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwPr56DJwM0 you can see when you should use wisdom medals and other resources outside of this tip.)

7. Save any big troop plans (promoting from t6 to t7 or enhancing any tier or filling out an APC from upgrading heroes or barracks) for Troop Training day. (base 25 is different)

Remember that these are lined up with server time so you will need to adjust for your time zone. For me, in CST (US) Gathering Day actually starts at 8pm (actually 8:30pm because the event doesn't start exactly on the hour) Sunday night. Doing CoZ effectively will require quite a bit of planning and discipline on your part, but it the single most rewarding thing you can do in the game. (For the schedule in regard to daily challenges, watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jf1Ei8G6BfU&t=3s)

Zone Coms is more important than oxygen Before I go into each individual day. A more important topic is Zone Commemoration. This can't be stressed enough. This is the single most important research you can do regardless of base level. If you have courage medals you should be researching something in Zone

Page 3: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

Commemoration. When you first look at the first couple of techs in the ZC tree, it isn't super impressive. "Increase Gathering Speed" and "Extra Resources from Gathering" aren't super appealing and may not sound like a huge help. But the very next tech in the line is huge. "Advanced Rewards" immediately increases the number of chests you can get from CoZ from 3 to 6 (a later research increases it from 6 to 9 and a yet much later research doubles the reward from each box). The very next research you can do in ZC is Arms Expert, which, when completed gives you a 100% increase in points gained from CoZ activities. So let's say hitting a level 15 zombie on hero day gives you 100,000 points for CoZ....with Arms Expert completed that same level 15 zombie now gives you 200k points. What's more is that these points’ increases STACK (meaning you can use them in addition to) blue coz tickets and I'll cover how to use those effectively later. When you are done with Zone Commemoration you will effectively be collecting 18 chests a day and will have a 400% increase in points rewarded for activities (which means it suddenly gets extremely easy to collect all 9 boxes). For those of you looking at how often jbutch, dbeer and myself increase base levels and wondering how we're covering the massive amounts of RSS needed. This is how. Like anything else ZC is a slog...it's a grind...it feels like a perpetual loop of "I need courage medals to do ZC so I can do better in CoZ, but I need CoZ boxes to get those courage medals!" Its nerve racking by the end, but once you are done it is the single most rewarding thing to finish in the game. (When Zone is completed, if you use a 100% ticket simultaneously, you will effectively earn 600% of your COZ Score!)

I have these green and blue tickets...how do I use them?To answer this...first green tickets...don't use them, save them and turn them into blue tickets. Once you have 4 green tickets you can exchange them for a blue ticket.

How do you use them properly? Well, the answer going to be different for each day and I'll cover that when i start talking about each day specifically, but the general idea is that you want to use a blue ticket when you will be getting the most out of your points, if you have a bunch of building upgrades finishing in the same 30 minute window, a large research is finishing, a couple batches are troops are ready to collect, etc. I'll get more specific for each day...so pay attention to when I say it's a good time to use them. On each day. (To be more specific, the best time to use the 100% ticket is on a “double dip” hour which is explained in the Daily Schedule Video and other tip Videos on the Tripaholix Gaming YouTube Channel)

Gathering DayAs I said before, each day of CoZ takes some forethought. Gathering day isn't an exception. I'm going to share a video and I it shared with a timestamp so you don't have to watch through the entire video to see the concept I want you to take from it.https://youtu.be/tP10fc4GBM4?t=417

For those of you that didn't watch I'm going to go into more detail here. Each of your APC's will gather for a certain amount of time based on a few different factors. The idea you want to shoot for is timing it so that they will be gathering until about an hour after the server reset and when gathering day has begun. So in essence, for you, gathering day should start the day before gathering day actually starts.

Page 4: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

The numbers will be different for you, but my 1st and 2nd APC's will gather for around 1 day and 1 hour so 25 hours. The idea here is to set them out so that they would gather for at least an hour into gathering day. So around reset on Saturday (the end of that week's CoZ) I would want to place some level 10 iron plots and set my main APC's to gathering. By doing that 25 hours later (or 1 hour into Gathering Day) my main APC's have gathered just about all they can. So that takes care of APC 1 and 2. My 3rd APC gathers for about 9 hours, my third for about 8 hours and I recently unlocked the Gathering Station in the VIP shop and it currently gathers for about 6 hours. So at 12 noon I would send out my 3rd APC, an hour later I would send out APC 4 and then about 5 hours before reset (3pm my time) I would set out my gathering station. At this point it's a waiting game. Do not use any gathering bonus items yet. Once the server resets and gathering day has begun (MAKE SURE GATHERING DAY HAS STARTED!!! The next event does NOT start at the top of the hour, it starts at 30 minutes past) I will then use a blue CoZ ticket for a 100% points bonus, THEN I will use a gathering speed item. If I set things out at the right time that will automatically recall all of my APC's and give me an epic butt load of CoZ points. Once all of your APC's have returned, send them back out and watch the timer on your blue ticket. With about 1-2 minutes left recall all your APC's. That won't be as big of a bump, but it is more about making the most of your blue ticket. At this point it's decision time for you. If you have collected all your available CoZ boxes, then at this point you may decide to go on and do something else, if you haven't just repeat this same process. (Make sure to take the time to consult your alliance in regard to Wendell Coordination during gathering day. The amount of time it takes your APC’s to gather is based on the amount of units your APC can hold as well as the RSS Plot LEVEL)

Note: I will freely admit that it isn't always feasible to send out your APC's to gather 25 hours ahead of time, I wanted you to understand the concept of having them out as much ahead of time as possible, without falling short. The idea is you want to set them out to where they are gathering long before reset. And you want to be sitting there waiting before they return so you can activate a blue ticket and get the most from their return. I am generally able to collect 9 boxes on both Saturday and Sunday because I use my free development day as gathering day. Since I mentioned that the reason I select gathering day is that it's RSS positive...meaning I don't have to spend any RSS to get CoZ boxes. Gathering Day is not recommended. Although RSS positive, it lacks in consistency. Gathering Day leaves you with the gathering hourly schedule on Sunday. This will cost you RSS to do the hourly chests. Most RSS comes from Hourly Chests. Instead choose Hero day, which is the most RSS positive (you have to spend cash to exchange for wisdom medals, unlock skills etc... You still make way more than you spend though). If you're wanting to maximize your RSS income, you need to make sure you are getting the most you can out Hero Day and set your free development day to one of those. I'll talk more specifically about it when I talk about Free Development Day. (The purple chest is the Key according to Tripaholix gaming, giving you over 5 times the RSS per cost as 1 Gold chest. Maximize hero day on lower levels getting the purple chests only for massive gains.)

Super Tip!!! When Gathering, make sure to even out your APC’s to obtain the “Optimal Gathering State”. The Optimal Gathering State is when your APC’s are using All Vehicle

Page 5: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

Formation and are in all in a near equal balance in power. To achieve this, is taking some heroes out of order if needed so that all of your APC’s hold around the same amount of troops. Note*** this does make your APC’s vulnerable to attack and will have them in the optimal gathering state but also in the weakest state. DO NOT DO THIS IF YOU FEAR THAT YOU WILL BE ATTACKED IN YOUR STATE! My State has a Full State NAP and we respect our gathering even in other states. Note**** You may be able to also exercise the “spread out technique”, which is when you send your APC’s to gather 50km to 200km away from your base in different directions in the desert to avoid being targeted.

Building DayI'm going to be completely honest with you, Building Day and Tech day are my weakest days, but I'm going to share some tips with you to help you be more successful on these days during CoZ. Building Day and Tech Day are the first days in this guide where I can talk to you about an important concept: "Lining up the Hourly Challenge with CoZ Progress". This is an important concept to grasp now because when we get to Hero day you will be doing it Every Single Hour.

Here is a link that should help you start thinking about how to line it up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlxAJKuW4C4&t=454s

This link is extremely helpful, it not only tells you what's coming up, if you are using it on PC you can click on each individual line and you'll get a pop up telling you what objectives will give you points during that hour. It is a major help in planning ahead. Before we talk too much about lining things up, let's talk about how you get points on building day.

The "Increase 1 Building power +1000" is what I want you to focus on crafting parts and consuming energy cores are things that you will become familiar with after base level 19 or 20, but they consume huge amounts of cash that are better spent on building upgradesHow do I find the building power increase?

Page 6: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

Follow these stepsTap on the building you wish to upgrade

Then Tap on the exclamation point

Then Tap "More information"

Page 7: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

The highlighted row is your current building's power, so we will concern ourselves with that row and the row for the next level.

So we want the difference between 2256 and 1675

2256 - 1675 = 581

So we get a building power increase of 581.

Remember we get 1000 points for every 1 building power increase so 581 x 1000 = 581,000

So with no Zone Commemorations research and no blue ticket you would get 581,000 points for CoZ.Remember though, your building day starts long before it does on the server. You need to decide which building upgrades will give you the highest points, which means tapping each of your buildings and doing a bit of math, then starting those upgrades so they will finish sometime after Building Day actually starts on the server. You really want it to start 1hr to 1.5 hrs. after building day has started as a target. You don't have to be as precise with targeting that finish as you do on Gathering Day though because you've been saving your building speed ups for this. Now you have your buildings targeted for an hour to an hour and a half after building day has started, let's talk about executing it properly.

Once building day has officially started you'll want to look at the first Hourly challenge

Page 8: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

And then look at Hour 2

So we have 2 back to back hours (Double Dip) where increasing building points gives you points for both CoZ AND the hourly challenges.

First, we need to take a look at how many points I could get total. Remember, I would get 581,000 points for upgrading 1 oil well from level 21 to 22. And I have 7 construction vehicles so I can do that 7 times. 581,000 x 7 = 4,067,000 total points. Here is how I want you to think about this: with 4M points, given the thresholds for each chest in the hourly above, you don't have enough total points to get a gold chest, so instead we're going to shoot for 2 purple chests. Wait until the current hourly challenge has 10 minutes left then use a blue ticket and immediately use building speed ups to complete 2 of your buildings.Wait for the hour to roll over, there will be a 5 minute gap in between challenges so make sure you wait until the challenge is live, then use speed ups to complete the rest of your buildings. If

Page 9: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

you like at this point you can start a couple more buildings and speed them up to try and get the gold chest on the second hour, while your blue ticket is still active. This process of using a blue ticket to cover gains on 2 hourly challenges is called "double dipping"

A concept I want you to get into your head and not let go is that if you are working on building day, tech day or training day and adding coz points after you've completed a gold chest, you are WASTING resources this applies to any other day as well with a few minor exceptions. This is a concept that you will use on hero day over and over again. It gets harder and harder to do this as the day goes on because building times do tend to devour speed ups, which is why you save them for building day.

Super Tip!!! Here is a List of the best buildings for building day and their strengthsSide note – ALWAYS MAKE CHIPS EVERY SINGLE DAY!

Chip buildings – Low money high food (easiest RSS to get) Major pointsSilo - Exceptionally high points (iron heavy but unlocks the other chip building upgrades)Anti-missile – Food wood and low money Massive pointsBlast Missile Factory (All missile factories) – low cost high points!War Rooms – More chips but high points and buffs for units. Win/winGarrison hall – Food Heavy (easy RSS to get) low money, high points All Major Buildings i.e. Base, ration, institute, barracks, hero hall, etc.

NEVER DO WAREHOUSE UPGRADES ON BUILDING DAY!!! (High Cost Low Points) RSS generating buildings should only be upgraded to get purple chests on hours where you can afford them. For a video explanation – and a more complete version of this, click HERE

Tech DayUgh. I told you I was weak at Building Day and Tech Day. I'm actually decent at building day, but tech day sucks donkey balls. Let me vent my frustration.

1. You only get 400 pts per Research Power Increase 2. You can only research things 1 tech at a time where as at least on building day you can have multiple buildings going at once. 3. Research gets expensive as you go. 4. Some research takes 3 days and gives you a whopping 200 research power increase.

See my frustration?

Ugh /rant

You will do Tech Day almost identically to building day. Identify which techs give you the most increase and start them ahead of time. Make use of the hourly challenges to maximize RSS

Page 10: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

income. Beyond that I can't help you much beyond these suggestions Zone Commemoration research gives much higher than average power increases, a close second is Parts Production Research.

Here's a video that can probably do a better job on tech day than I can.... For the exact order in which to grow your tech watch this tech tips VIDEO!https://youtu.be/wWyFPT66cIc

Tech Day is actually the easiest day in Clash of Zones! The Specific Trick to this day is to learn how to maximize the Research based on your RSS Availability. Example, in parts production.

All the tech shown in this picture only requires cores, food, wood, and money. While growing, it is a known fact that the oil and iron are the hardest to maintain. When doing tech day, you will prosper faster when doing this part of technology while saving for your base upgrades. Tip! Make chips and cores all the time to have the maximum benefit in building and tech day.

Super Tip!!! Using Diamonds for tech day is perfectly okay! Almost all tech upgrades will get you more diamonds than you spend while getting all the purple chests each hour which is highly recommended. If you are low on speedups, or it is not an hour that offers speed up points, use your diamonds to instantly finish an easy tech like these and use your tech speedups on the hours that offer tech speed up points! Do this to maximize.

Hero DayHold on to your seats, hero day is my specialty. Hero day is one of the most important days of CoZ as far as making diamonds, RSS and items. Before I get started, you need to watch thishttps://youtu.be/NytYeId4s8QNow watch it again...and again until you know the process. Here is that link again, switch over to Hero Day and start learning each hour intimately.

https://ewq.kr/en/?page=day

Page 11: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

1. At this point you should have saved every wisdom medal, recruitment tickets (not your daily free recruits...you should do all of those every day)2. You should have been utilizing your military academy every day possible up to this point exchanging green and some blue hero tokens for wisdom medals. I do understand that you may not be able to every day. You want to save blues and purples for hero day because you get more wisdom medals for them ergo more points for CoZ and Hourly Challenges.

Your back to back hourly challenges for blue tickets on this day are going to be up to you,There are multiple opportunities just depending on what you have available, to start out with though, I don't want you to worry about getting gold hourly chests. Get the 600-800k necessary for the purple chest and stop.

Get used to doing the math to know how many wisdom medals, super recruitment tickets, etc. you need to get that purple chest. And then I want you to collect as many purple chests as you can.

The hero day hour x hour video above will show you how to spread your wisdom medals out through the day and get the most out of using them.

Early on in the day use trash heroes. What i mean by that is green, blue or purple combat heroes that you can increase experience, to level 12, unlock their 2nd and 3rd skills for points and then split the hero to reclaim some of cash and wisdom medals you spent on them. That tends to be the last thing I do each hero day because I like to have some random heroes that I can dump 10-20 wisdom medals into should I need just a smidge to get that purple chest.

Your goal on hero day is to collect purple hourly challenge chests until you max out on CoZ.When you have this process in hand, you can start thinking about which items you have enough of to go for back to back gold chests and not hamper your ability to continue doing CoZ.

I am always available for questions on hero day, do not hesitate to DM me and ask: GuitarCFD#9922 or reach out to Tripaholix Gaming at https://www.facebook.com/tripaholixgaming/

If you didn't watch the hero day hour x hour video watch now...then watch it again

Now I'll go into the first two hours and show you what I would do

Page 12: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

This is my current stash for Hero day (don't worry you'll get there...trust me).

As I mentioned before, don't pay attention to the thresholds listed on this, I think these are likely thresholds for b25, because mine at b23 are different. You'll need to look for yourself to see where your blue and purple chests are.

So I know right away I can get points for my free recruitments right off the bat.

1 super recruitment = 200,000 1 advanced recruitment = 50,000 1 Normal Recruitment = 10,000So before spending any of my hard earned items I have 260,000 points for free.My purple box is at 700,000 points, so I need to come up with another 440,000 points for my purple chest. In this particular case I would probably do 2 more super recruitment tickets and 4

Page 13: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

normal recruitment tickets to get a nice and even 700,000 points for my purple chest. You however, may not be sitting on 42 super recruitment tickets, so your next option is skill unlocks. This is the point where if you have APC heroes that have skills to unlock that don't require you to use experience items or wisdom medals...this is the perfect hour to unlock thoseEvery skill you unlock is 20,000 points

The trick is to know what your goal is and find the most efficient way of getting there.Once you know how you're going to do it, wait til there's only 5 or 10 minutes left in the hour, then pop a blue ticket get your purple chest, and then we get set for hour 2.

Hour 2 is happy hour! Literally everything you can think of except hitting zombies gives you points.

Here's how I would start

Page 14: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

Ignore Iron Guard and War boss for the moment. The first thing I would do this hour is get every green, blue and purple combat hero to level 12 using experience items it takes around 66k xp to get any hero to level 12 regardless of what tier they are. Level 12 is the magic number because that is where the 3rd skill unlocks. That's roughly 6600 base CoZ points per hero I take to level 12.

IMPORTANT: Development heroes should only be raised to level 6, their 3rd skill requires blue hero medals and IMO just aren't worth it.Once that is done, I'm then going to take stock of where I am...that isn't a huge amount of points, but it can be done quickly and gives a starting point. Do that than do your second free normal recruitment. At this point, look at the number of points you need for a purple chest and subtract the number of points you have. This hour you get points for unlocking skills AND spending wisdom medals

Start with Green Heroes

Page 15: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

So this is a Green Combat Hero by unlocking these skills I will get 20,000 points for unlocking each skill so 40,000 points for skills unlocked then 2000 points PER wisdom medal spent

30 x 2000 = 60,000

So 100k points per green combat hero.

Below is a green development hero

Page 16: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

So you can see why you don't upgrade them past level 6...they only have 1 skill so green dev heroes are worth a total of 40,000 points

I tend to follow this guideGreen Combat hero - 100,000 points Blue Combat hero - 160,000 points Purple Combat hero - 220,000 points

These numbers require you to unlock skills 2 and 3

You also need to know the cost

Green Combat Hero - 30 Wisdom Medals Blue Combat Hero - 60 Wisdom Medals Purple Combat Hero - 90 Wisdom Medals

This is one of those times you have to judge what you have vs what you can get...remember you can get MOST of these wisdom medals back by splitting the hero when you're done. In this case I would start with green heroes to conserve my wisdom medals and work my way up until I got the purple chest and any time I had remaining on my blue ticket, I would use to attack the highest level zombies possible (this is more about just giving me a bit more CoZ points rather than getting points for the hourly challenges).

For the rest of the day you simply look at what you have available and see what you can do hour by hour to get that purple chest. Keep doing that until you have gotten your final CoZ chest of the day. WATCH THE DAMN VIDEO AGAIN!!!

Troop Training Day

Page 17: bot596home.files.wordpress.com · Web viewOn Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations,

Ok Let's finish this up. Troop day takes, probably the least amount of prep compared to any other day. By this time you should be familiar with the concept of spreading your blue tickets across 2 different hourly challenges. Troop Training day is going to use that concept as well. There are 3 blocks where you have back to back hours of training troops for hourly points.

I've highlighted those blocks for you.

If you remember from hero day I told you to start going for purple boxes only back to back. On Troop Training Day you are going for gold chest back to back in as many of these blocks as you can. Generally, with maxed Zone Commemorations, if you hit gold on all 6 of those hours and get gold chests with blue tickets activated you will get 9 boxes. If you don't have 9 boxes to get because your Zone Coms isn't progressed that far, it will take fewer.

Some prep you can do is to go ahead and train troops before so you have them waiting to collect. When you collect them is when you get the points. To make sure you don't accidentally collect them as you're using speed ups, after tapping "train" exit the building then tap on the building and tap the speed up icon from the couple options there. As long as you use speed up items from there even if you over do it with speed ups, the troops won't be collected. I will generally start training in all 3 buildings and then go back and speed up the training.

TIP: Tech Day is the second best COZ day in the game! It is recommended that you alternate Sunday free tech day between hero day and tech day to have maximum results!

Kill EventThis is as straightforward as events go. Teleport to the enemy state, hunt down bases and kill enemy troops. As for using blue tickets...it helps to do some recon beforehand, find the places you want to hit that way when you teleport to the enemy state you activate a blue ticket and

profit from all the carnage. There are no hourly challenges that you can line up with to get extra, just go, kill troops and come back. Some things to remember on KE day1. If you don't plan on participating, you should shield your base and any farms you have2. Don't send out gatherers if you aren't online and paying attention, if I go over to an enemy state and see a bunch of gathers on RSS tiles, I'm hitting them because I know there are troops there.3. When doing recon beforehand to find targets, bookmark the bases you want to hit that way you can find them quickly when the event begins.

That is all, this is the easiest day of all.

Free DevelopmentThe last day of every CoZ is Free Development which means you get to pick what you want to do that day. You must pick by at least the day before otherwise you'll be locked into a KE day or in some cases locked in a day where the only way to get points is to buy diamonds. My personal preferences are Hero Development or Gathering Day. Remember earlier I mentioned that these are the only two that are 100% RSS positive, meaning you don't have to spend RSS to get CoZ progress. If I have a wealth of Hero Development items to use, I'll do hero day, if not I'll do gathering. Those are two events I know I can get 9 boxes easily and it will be all profit.

Each choice has its own Modifier, meaning the points you get personally will be multiplied by that Modifier, and that is how your score in the state rankings will show.

The Modifiers are as follows: KE - 0.8 Gather Resources - 0.5 Upgrade Building - 1.2 Research Technology - 1 Hero Development - 1.5 Train Units - 0.6

As you can see there is a huge benefit to doing hero day if you have the materials for it. For every point you score for your CoZ boxes, you will get 1.5 points in the state rankings.

Here is how you select your day: first, from your base screen or from the world map Tap on the Events Icon shown here

That will show you the week's progress on this screen

If you haven't selected your free development choice yet, yours will say "select" here i believe, either way...tap that button and it will bring up this page

You can tap on each choice to see what objectives give you points and to see the modifier attached to that selection

For the sake of this guide I tapped on Hero Development

As I said, you are presented with a list of objectives that provide points towards CoZ for that day. If you wish to select this day simply tap "choose".If at any point during the week you feel you need to change your choice, you can do so as long as you do it before the end of troop training day.You simply follow the same instructions as I listed above, except when you tap on "view" it will show you the screen shown just above except the button will say, "reselect" from that point it is just as easy as selecting your day in the first place.

Some Final ThoughtsI hope this guide was helpful to you, I think just having all the information in one place is going to be a big help to many of you.

I said it before, but I want to close with how important it is to do Zone Commemoration Research whenever possible. That research gets you more RSS than anything else you can do in this game.
