The John L. Kopronica Memorial Scholarship was established in 2006 in memory of John L. Kopronica by his wife, Robin, and other family members and friends. John worked as a welder at Lorain Products and was known throughout Northeast Ohio as the clarinet and saxophone player in his band, The Castaways. The $250.00 scholarship will be awarded to an Adult Career Center student enrolled in our Welding/Fabrication program. The John L. Kopronica Memorial Scholarship is available to a selected student who: 1. Is attending the Adult Career Center Welding/Fabrication program. 2. Completes the application information/questions below. If more space is needed, please feel free to attach additional paper. 3. Obtains a reference from current course instructor. 4. Reference letter and student statement must be turned in together in order to consider application complete. Please Note: 1. Completion of the application is not a guarantee of scholarship. The Adult Career Center staff will review the application and you will be contacted when award recipients have been determined. Student Name: Career Development Program: Please provide a statement as to why you are deserving of a scholarship (provide insight in regards to your life situation, financial situation, dedication to being a student, etc.).
