“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (Peter 4:10) A Message from the Parish Leadership

St. Peter Claver “…You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Men do not light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket. They set it on a stand where it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, your light must shine before men so that they may see goodness In your acts and give praise to your heavenly Father” (taken from the Gospel of Matthew Ch. 5:14-16).

We are on a bright journey of rebuilding our church and parish hall, and renewing our Catholic Faith. We are ready to open our hearts, minds and souls to the Lord’s voice in our lives and not ashamed to take the Word of God with us as we go – AMEN!

May our “Family Spirit” continue to be renewed in our sacraments, in our worship together, personally, and always exemplified in our welcome to those who are in need. I am honored to share the “sweet burden” of our labors with you and our Parish Life Director, Deacon James Weathers.

May we continue to serve and shine for our Lord, God Almighty. AMEN!

Fr. Norman Fischer, Parish Priest

St. Peter Claver Church Mission Statement

At St. Peter Claver we are a community of faith made up of parishioners who uphold the Catholic Tradition. We believe in a community, which supports families and children, transcending racial, economic, and geographic

boundaries for the purpose of worship, religious education, outreach and fellowship. St. Peter Claver promotes a worship environment that is visually and spiritually Afrocentric. The Eucharist is the source of the energy that moves us to community service and evangelization. This is done in concert with other Christian communities under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

“Son of the living God, protect your people”
