When Dr. Scott Ross came here in 2016 to serve as executive director of campus operations for West Georgia Technical College, one of his first goals was to become familiar with his new home and the people he would be working with. He knew Leadership Coweta would provide the opportunities he needed.

“I am expecting to become more familiar and connected with Coweta County,” he said. “I am also expecting to meet new people and start new relationships within Coweta County.”

A native of Cordele, Georgia, Dr. Ross earned a B.S. in Industrial Engineering Technology from Southern Poly State University in 1994. He received his MBA from Mercer University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in Higher Education

In 2012, he accepted a campus director position with Southern Crescent Technical College.

Although new to Coweta, Dr. Ross didn’t hesitate when offered the chance to join Leadership Coweta.

“Leadership Coweta is a great opportunity to learn more about Coweta’s community/history and to meet awesome people in the Coweta community,” he said. “I hope that I will be better in tune with the Coweta community and know more about Coweta’s history.”
