Extension DrawingCarefully study the square image on the white paper of the handout in front of you. Consider what is happening in the image.

You must extend/ continue the image so that it covers the whole page. Shade using pencil or add colour using pencil crayon.

Make sure the box disappears into your new image so that the image appears whole. The best images will hide the original boxed image so that it blends seamlessly into the image.

Hint: you may want to use the reverse of the paper to develop ideas and practise using different materials.

There is not “right” answer to this visual problem. Have fun and try something unexpected.
