Knowing a little more about the UPRM

The UPRM was founded on March 12, 1903 by an act of the Legislative Assembly. In 1942 the campus was organized into the Colleges of Agriculture, Engineering and Science.

This campus encompasses approximately 315 acres. Its has sports complex, two cafeterias, book store, bank, a lounge, and a computer center.

The UPRM offers 52 bachelor’s programs, 28 master’s programs and five doctoral programs. The UPRM is the most important center in the Atlantic region for the study of tropical marine sciences and a lot more.

The university has the purpose to teach students but also to help Puerto Rico achieve a better economic status. This Agricultural Experimental Substations sale their product to the island agencies and people. Trying to give them the best product available in the market.

Agricultural Sciences Department the

facilities, equipment and tools to teach them

all about dairy animals and small farm

animals. This university have courses that

involucrate this animals and that give their

laboratories in this facilities, giving students

the chance to learn in a practical way.
