(“I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me,” the Lord said (1 Kings 9:3a).The first thing King Solomon did when he finished building a permanent temple of the Lord in Jerusalem was to pray a prayer of dedication. Here is the Lord’s response to Solomon’s prayer…“I have heard the prayer and plea you have made before me,” the Lord said (1 Kings 9:3a). From this welearn one of the primary principles of prayer: God hears us when we pray!No ocean can hold it back. No river can overtake it. No army can defeat it. No law can stop it. No disease can cripple it. No force on earth is more powerful or effective than the power of prayer! Our mighty God who created the heavens and the earth with merely a word hears us when we pray.As you pray for the needs of FEBC this month, know that God is listening to your every word! Thank you for your faithfulness to the call of prayer.Until all have heard,Edward W. CannonPresident and CEO)Prayer TargetMonday, February 1 – Praise God for the ways
