Weaver "eager reader" This review is from: He and I (Paperback) The book is a diary of the words of Christ himself talking to Gabrielle Bossis. She writes them down over 11 years of traveling and living her daily life. The words are spoken to all believers, not collectively but in the most personal manner. The entries are recognizable as Christ's own messages to us. I have read a lot of spiritual books but they are all shadows compared to this one and the Bible.

Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul [Paperback] Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska

Humbling in its Entirity an update, 19 Jan 2006 By Amazon Customer "debskenney" This review is from: Diary of Saint Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul (Paperback) I had heard about this saint but didn't really know much about her, other than through his Divine Mercy Jesus spoke to her. This book is superb. I am not a Catholic but am considering becoming one (before I read this book), this book was purely at first just an interesting read. I have discovered that it is a book alive with the word of God and it has made me thirst for more knowledge concerning the Catholic Church. UPDATE: I became a catholic on 22/3/08. St Faustina had her hand in this I believe and lets face it today's world has more need of Divine Mercy than at any other time. I share this book with my friends and encourage them to read it and spread the message - please read it and do the same. From< http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/RRAH3Q6OHRKJI/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt>

Men, Women and the Mystery of Love: Practical Insights from John Paul II's Love and Responsibility

Men, Women, and the Mystery of Love by Edward Sri Father Karol Wojtyla (Blessed John Paul II) published Love and Responsibility in 1960. Edward Sri unpacks the contents of this great work, making it accessible to all. He helps readers appropriate practical information on such topics as: authentic love; the problem with pornography; the meaning of friendship; how to achieve greater intimacy in marriage; and much more. Study questions make this a valuable resource for personal and group study. Reviews 5 stars A simple guide to a real relationship Submitted on 06-25-2012 Lucas Han This book gives a very practical insight on how an ideal relationship works. The way it is written is very easy to understand and it covers the whole point of the “Love and Responsibility” book itself and for the catholics, this book really helps in understanding why the church stands firm on their principle and point of view in sexuality. Finally after me and my girlfriend read this book, we now have a greater dimension in exploring and discovering our relationship. It also gave us a clear guidance whether our relationship going into the right direction. However this doesn’t only work for ourselves but also for helping other people in our surroundings who are struggling in their relationships From <http://ascensionpress.com/products/men-women-and-the-mystery-of-love

This review is from: Liturgy of the Hours 2014 (high seasons) (Kindle Edition) This has got to be the most useful resource for those of us who try to pray the hours in our work breaks. Everything where you need it. No ribbon markers and bits of paper and flipping from section to section. It's all there for you. I doubt there will be many occasions when I will prefer it to the office books when I am at home but when I am at work or on the move it will be invaluable. May 07, 2010 booklady rated it 5 of 5 stars Recommends it for: all Christians Recommended to booklady by: Pete Caccavari Shelves: 2010, church-documents, books-on-books, classic, food, must-have, non-fiction, philosophy, prayer, religion, scripture, spiritual, theology, worth-reading-over-and-over I began this on Holy Thursday night in Adoration and finished it the day after my class made their First Holy Communion. It's been a wonderful contemplation of the great mystery of the Holy Eucharist. Had I been its author, I might have entitled the book, “The Seven Mysteries of the Eucharist” because rather than secrets, each chapter idea presented by the author takes you deeper into the truths about our sacred Communion with God in the Holy Sacrament which only reveal vast unexplored oceans op...more

flag 1 like · like · see review Jan 01, 2013 Marilyn rated it 5 of 5 stars Shelves: religion This is the best reference for the Catholic views of the Eucharist. I am not a Catholic, but do study Religions of the World. It is recommended for all Catholics. I also recommend this to Christians that have Communion Services. This book gave me much to think about how individuals should view this ceremony and participate in same. It is a very short and worth-while read. flag 1 like · like · see review Jul 22, 2013 Jenny Dombroski rated it 5 of 5 stars Shelves: catholic-books Another awesome religious book! I've read through it once, so I guess I can add it to my read list, but although it's short, it's one of those books I'm going to have to read at least three times to derive all of the meaning out of it. Vinny Flynn writes in a really easy style so complex theological concepts are accessible and relatable. Another Catholic must-read! This book is about BIG and small miracles in the life of Sister Margaret Carew. In 1970 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The Lord has anointed her to go and set the prisoners free, to bring healing to the broken hearted and glad tidings to the lowly. She was encouraged to share her testimony with a wider audience. Her gifts are faith and daring combined with a strong dose of Irish wit and humor. It is her Magnificat. You will delight in reading some of the BIG and small miracles in her life. Sister Margaret Carew is a Sister of Charity of the Incarnate Word. She is from Tipperary, Ireland where she spent seventeen years of her life before joining the Order. She felt called to teach and to minister to the imprisoned. That calling came as an answer to prayer. One day she received a letter from her sister who had entered the Incarnate Word Order inviting her to go to Texas with her in two weeks. At that moment she clearly heard Jesus say, “Come follow Me.” To order this book, please click here - See more at: http://www.amormeus.org/english/index.php#sthash.FY0ULOLK.dpuf From< http://www.amormeus.org/english/index.php

The Godless Delusion A Catholic Challenge to Modern Atheism Books, Products 4 Reviews In this hard-hitting new book, apologetics experts Patrick Madrid and Kenneth Hensley help Christians to wake up to the crisis of godlessness, alerting them to the imperative need to take seriously atheism’s challenge, while learning how to effectively engage in today’s atheistic debate. Unlike other books which respond to atheist challenges to prove the existence of God, The Godless Delusion takes a different approach by turning the harsh light of reason on atheism and subjecting it to a rigorous logical, philosophical critique. Madrid and Hensley systematically critique the central claims of atheism, especially its foundational premise of naturalism (i.e., that only material things exist) and its related claim that immaterial things, such as God, angels, and human souls, cannot exist. This book was written for a general audience to enable the average Catholic with no formal training in philosophy to use philosophical tools to demonstrate that atheism cannot stand up to logical scrutiny. 256 pages, soft cover Look what others are saying about The Godless Delusion: “The New Atheists came on the contemporary scene with an unprecedented mixture of confidence and scorn. And, sadly, most of the books written in response have conveyed an impression of ad hoc defensiveness. But not this one. The Godless Delusion by Patrick Madrid and Kenneth Hensley wages a full-scale frontal assault on the tallest turret of the New Atheists’ stronghold — the claim to moral

and rational superiority. With remorseless logic, wit, skill, and boundless, joyful enthusiasm it lays waste that stronghold, routs the enemy, occupies the high ground for Christ their king, and dares anyone to retake it. Books on philosophical apologetics don’t get more exhilarating than this.” -- Ronald K. Tacelli, S.J., professor of philosophy, Boston College, co-author of Handbook of Christian Apologetics “The Godless Delusion takes on the new atheism of our times and pulls the rug right out from underneath it. I wholeheartedly recommend this work of apologetics for anyone who is serious about defending our faith in the existence of God.” -- Most Rev. Michael J. Sheridan, S.T.D., Bishop of Colorado Springs, Colorado “The Godless Delusion is a clear and compelling critique of naturalism and the new atheism that rests upon it. Madrid and Hensley show that the secularist’s pose of moral and rational superiority is undermined by his own fundamental philosophical assumptions.” -- Edward Feser, Ph.D., associate professor of philosophy, Pasadena City College, author of The Last Superstition: A Refutation of the New Atheism “Patrick Madrid and Kenneth Hensley look at the contradictions of the atheists with themselves, showing that above all, their arguments against God are at embarrassing odds with their own everyday experience and actions, their own deepest assumptions, and their own moral compass.” -- Benjamin Wiker, Ph.D., author of Ten Books that Screwed Up the World and Answering the New Atheism Special Notes: Price: $14.99 Reviews... 4 Responses to “The Godless Delusion” Nancy Emmons says: February 3, 2012 at 8:50 pm I am a non-practicing Catholic due to deep hurt caused by my parish priest many years ago. However, that is in the past. I gave up on Church participation but I never gave up on God or my belief in the teachings of the Catholic Church.I grieves me greatly to see what the U.S. and the Church in the U.S. has become more like social Catholics, how we have so many representatives who proclaim themself Catholic but it seems like it is just another way to put their face in public. I am reminded of the pharaseswho love the high places and believe themselves superior.

My desolution is why these people when they are so out-spoken about the injuries being inflicted on Catholics and their beliefs and convictions. It sends a message to the uninformed that if the Church accepts their hypocrisy then it is O.K. for them to reject any teaching they are not comfortable with.I just hope it is not too late. It is time for the Church to stand up and fight. I hope the Catholics that come home will actually come home to a Church that still believes in and practices the teaching of the Church founded by our Lord, Jesus Christ.Isn’t it time to bring back ex-communication – not for the general lay person who may have been divorced, practiced birth control or even having and performing abortions – but for those like Nancy Pelosi who twist the Words of Christ and encourage others to do so. These representatives are making a mockery of what a Catholic is and the Church is doing nothing about it.Thanks for letting me vent a little. Thank God He is patient! Fr Crean destorys Dawkins' central atheistic argument within the first chapter, and then proceeds meticulously and charitably to pick apart his other arguments one by one. The chapter explaining some of the aspects of Thomist metaphysics and epistemology are alone worth buying the book for.
