the numbers.7. Highlight all of the columns and rows containing numbers or words; right click and choose “Copy”.8. Open your Word document and right-click where you want to place the data table. Choose “Paste”, and the

data table. Choose “Paste”, and the data from Excel will paste into your Word document.

GRAPHING

1. Highlight all of the cells you want to graph (include column headings).

2. Select “Insert” tab.

3. Select scatter icon from the tool bar and choose the picture with no lines.

4. A graph will appear in a window.

5. Select “Design” tab.

6. In “Chart Layouts” click on the down arrow and choose Layout 1 (shaded title & axes).

7. Left click on the title to change it.

8. Left click on the axis titles to change them.

9. Right click on the legend and delete it.

10. Right click on y-axis values to add minor grid

lines, if you wish.

11. To add the line of best fit, select the “Layout”tab and choose “Trendline”.

12. Choose “trendline options”

13. In the window that opens, select “linear” or the curve that best fits your data.

14. Click on the box for “Display Equation on chart”, then close the

window.

15. Your graph will now have a trendline with an equation.
