• In 2006 we began a rigorous review of regional scholarship to identify key titles and subjects important to the global research community

• All journals added to WoS still go through a rigorous selection process.

• Total coverage of scholarly journals in Web of Science has grown from 8,600 in 2004 to over 11,000 publications today.

• Fifteen hundred (1,500) of these are newly selected regional journals.

• The list of countries whose publications are represented in WoS has grown by 14 during this period.

• Journal coverage now better reflects trends in scholarly research at both the international and regional levels.
