Linda Seever informed us the Fall Weave is a GO!!!! We have 47 people signed up. There will be a silent auction & raffle. For those who plan to donate items to the silent auction, please bring items to the August or September guild meeting (August meeting if possible to allow us time to organize). The Silent Auction Committee will organize all donated items and decide which items will stand-alone and which items will be included in themed baskets. Some ideas of themed baskets are gardening, movies, beauty items, basket supplies, etc. We will use whatever is donated. There will also be a raffle which the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The raffle will be a table top Christmas tree with all the handmade ornaments collected from guild members. Dottie Dornbusch possibly has a tree to donate; but, if anyone else in the guild has a table top tree they are willing to donate, please bring to the August meeting and we will pick which will be more useful for the raffle. 2. There will be sign-up sheets at the August meeting if you would like to volunteer your time during the Fall Weave. Volunteers are needed for the Kitchen, Silent Auction, Vending, Registration, etc. There are committee leaders set up for each group who will inform you of your required duties. 3. Libby Glade donated the raffle for this month which was a kit full of different gift wrapping paper/bags. Mary Rhodes was the lucky winner for this month. Janet Goldman has volunteered to provide the raffle for the August meeting. 4. Hopefully all our guild members that plan to attend the Fall Weave have now registered. If not, please contact Cindy Holland as soon as possible. Even though registration will not close until end of August, a total head count is needed ASAP for other prep work.
