HOMEOWNERS / RENTERS

Weatherization improves heating and cooling efficiency

and energy savings by ensuring a home holds in heat and

air conditioning while keeping hot and cold air out. The

Weatherization Assistance Program is offered at no charge

to income-eligible families. Weatherization may include:

+ SEALING DRAFTS AND AIR LEAKS

+ CAULKING DOORS AND WINDOWS

+ WEATHERSTRIPPING

+ TESTING, CLEANING, AND REPAIRING HEATING AND

COOLING SYSTEMS AND WATER HEATERS

+ INSULATING CEILINGS, WALLS, FLOORS, AND FOUNDATIONS

+ UPGRADING LIGHTING, FANS, AND REFRIGERATORS

To apply, contact the weatherization service

provider located in your area. After the

application is accepted, a weatherization

specialist will conduct a home energy audit

to identify needs. They will then complete

the necessary work and conduct a post-

weatherization audit to assure quality. All

at no charge to income-eligible families.
