In a December, 2015 referendum, the GoshenPublic Library community voted overwhelmingly toapprove the building of a new library to replace thecurrent98-year-oldbuilding. Dear Neighbors, 2017 is sure to be another wonderful year at the Goshen Public Library and Historical Society. For those resolving to improve them-selves, the library should be the first stop! The dedicated staff continues to offer a var-ied calendar of events which is sure to give us all something to look forward to. Come by to learn how to download an ebook to your new tablet or research your family’s origins with our free software or work on your re-sume. Check out our website to learn more!
We are expecting a year filled with qual-ity programming for all ages in our current location while continuing to advance with our plans for the new building. It is hard to believe that the successful library refer-endum was one year ago. Since that time the Trustees have worked hard, often meet-ing more frequently than the monthly sched-uled sessions, to finalize many details to the plans. We will be hosting an informational session with our architect to update everyone on our progress in early spring.
Our Friends group held an extremely successful Antiques Appraisal Fair this fall. Hundreds of items were appraised and the ample crowd caused the event to last more than an hour beyond the scheduled closing time. Bravo, Friends!
Cheers to a New Year!
