Monday, October 2nd, will be our next First Monday Gathering. Terry Ewing from FBC Brownfield will be our guest musician. Terry is a talented singer and will share in music and

testimony of God’s greatness. The program starts at 10:30am in the ROC. We will have a catered lunch at 11:30am and the cost is $7.00. Upcoming First Monday Gatherings: November, Penny Davis from Plains Baptist Encampment will be speaking on her mission trip overseas. KIDZVILLE is for children ages Nursery to 6th Grade PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN WORSHIP: Sunday Mornings during 11:00 AM Service (Room 100)

KIDZ CHURCH: Kidz Church services will resume Sunday, August 27th. BIBLE DRILL- From 5:00-6:30pm in Kidz Church! This Class teaches 4th-6th Graders Bible Memory skills, books of the Bible and memorizing Scripture. Please bring your kids to this class every Sunday night.

Josh & Rachel Klapak were happy to welcome Jackson Reese Klapak on Wednesday, September 13th. He weighed 8.1lbs and was 20.5” long. CHRISTMAS CHOIR AND DRAMA: Our next rehearsal will be today from 4:00-5:00pm in the Worship Center. We could use some more voices in the choir. Please consider serving in this short-term project! We are planning a bigger program this year with choir, drama, soloists and Children’s Christmas choir. If you are interested or would like your child to be involved, please contact the Church Office at 806-832-4511 or Gary Koerner at 806-544-4054. 60’S PLUS FUN NIGHT: We will meet tonight at 5:30PM in the ROC. Please bring sandwiches, dips, chips or any finger foods you would like to share potluck style. We will play bingo after dinner. Please bring a $5.00 gift card for Bingo game prizes. MOVIE NIGHT: Encore is sponsoring a movie night on Monday, September 25th at 6PM in Kidzville. Bring your own brown bag dinner and watch “Woodlawn”. This movie is a drama about a gifted high school football player who must learn to embrace his talent and his faith as he battles racial tensions on and off the field. Sign-Up in Connection Groups or call the Church Office at 806-832-4511. NURSERY WORKERS NEEDED: We are growing in the Children’s area and need 2 more full time nursery workers who love to play with kids and snuggle with babies, Sunday mornings from 9:40am-12:00pm each week. Please call Julie Batten at 806-535-7641 if you’re interested in applying. This is a paid position; workers must be at least 18 years old.

PRAYER FOR SERVICES: Leadership team members...Richard Gunkel, Traditional Worship Representative, and Angie Smith, Contemporary Worship Representative invite you to join them by signing up to pray during one of the Worship service times that you don't attend regularly. Our desire is to be in prayer for each other and our worship leaders while worship services are going on. We will have sign up sheets at the Navigator stations and in all Connection classrooms. Richard and Angie will be contacting you for a specific Sunday. Thanks for serving your church in such a powerful way! SERVE OPPORTUNITY: Additional volunteers are needed for our grounds keeping/mowing crew. If you are interested in serving the church in this manner, please call Glen Harville at 806-778-3756. After hearing God’s word preached this morning. I feel God is leading me to do one of the following:

I want to become a believer and follower of Jesus for the first time in my life. I admit I’m a sinner in need of a Savior, and I believe Jesus is my savior. I believe Jesus is God’s only son who died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I believe it and receive it! I’m ready to follow Jesus all the days of my life.

I am a Christian already, but I’m struggling to live like it. I need encouragement and am open to having a mentor assigned to me by the Pastor or Staff for my spiritual growth.

I want to be Baptized! I am a believer and follower of Jesus, but I have not yet been Baptized by immersion.

I want to become a member of the church and am ready to attend the NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION CLASS! I would like the Pastor or staff to contact me with info.

You must realize that God loves you but you are separated from God by a sinful nature.

Roman 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

You must believe that God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ as a payment for sin.

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Although humanity through sin has separated itself from God, the sacrifice of Jesus, on the cross, bridged that gap.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.”

All that God asks is that you repent (turn away) from your sins and accept the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross for those sins.

Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
