TIP 1 Making sure you have selected the correct blower is vital to the heating performance of your vehicle. Many blowers look the same but perform completely different in terms of airflow and back pressure. You must make sure the cost of the unit does not persuade you to buy the wrong blower.

TIP 2 Air side blockages also reduce the performance of your blower. When there is a blockage in your heater, the air that should be circulating through your blower is non existent. However, the blower will be performing at the same output as it would be with the airflow present, but without the air to cool the motor/bearings the unit will overheat, resulting in the failure of your blower.

TIP 3 It has also been shown that poorly fitted blowers reduce the overall efficiency of the system. As air leaves the vehicle via gaps between the mounting plate & the blower, this results in a loss of capacity and performance.

TIP 4 Finally, if your blower has a damaged scroll or wheel, the performance of the blower will again be reduced. The airflow will be affected along with the balance of the blower. When the balance of the blower wheels is affected, it can result in the damage of the motor and therefore ruin the blower.
