inspiring words of our legendary founder Late

Mr. R. Thanganna Gounder. He was widely known

for his entrepreneurship and humanity. He started

his career as a humble agriculturalist, entered the

business of cotton trade, promoted many business

firms and grew steadily into a well admired

industrialist. He is fondly known as “R.T”. His

shrewd business acumen and exceptional

mathematical skills have laid a solid foundation for

SV group. He is the greatest inspiration for us. We

are committed to follow his tenets of hard work and

visionary business acumen to reach the highest

echelons of success.

FOUNDER - SV GROUP

He is a man of achievements and excellence. He

started his career as a lawyer and entered the family

business of co�on ginning at the age of 40. From

then on, it has been only success for him. He is our

role model, who is known for his hard work, smart

work and high degree of discipline. He is well known

as the Chairman of Sri Shanmugavel Group of Mills,

India ,which does an annual turnover of INR 3000

crores (USD 500 million). It is an evident fact that

Sri Shanmugavel Group of Mills would not have

reached such great heights without his sacrifices

and dynamic leadership. We take pride in

men�oning that he is also one of the promoters of

SV group.

Behind such heights and success, is his wife

Mrs. Dhanalakshmi who has been our greatest

well‐wisher and a strong pillar of support for us. We

are proud to men�on that our Patron's eldest

daughter Mrs. Shanthi is the wife of our Managing

Director.

respected in the Indian co�on market and fondly

called as 'CK'. His wife Mrs. Indra has always been

our sincere well wisher and a great mo�vator for us.

MANAGING DIRECTOR

T. Sivakumar He is the son of our founder and he is the man who

runs the show of our SV group. He holds a Masters

degree in Business Administra�on from PSG

College of Technology, Coimbatore, one of the

finest Ins�tu�ons in India. He is an astute and

determined businessman who has grown step –by‐

step into an eminent industrialist. He is extremely

hard working in nature, which he has inherited from

his parents. He is widely known for his humanity,

commitment, integrity, humbleness and financial

discipline. He has a rich experience of almost 30

years in the tex�le industry. He is very analy�cal in

his approach and believes in steady growth.

Whenever there is a crisis, his mental strength

comes into play to rescue us.

Our M.D is the person leading our SV Group on its

way to success and a promising future. His wife

Mrs. Shanthi Sivakumar is known for her concern,

love and affec�on to the members of SV Group. She

is a very posi�ve person who serves as a source of

great encouragement. We take pride in men�oning

that she is one of the directors of Sri Shanmugavel

Group of Mills, India and also a director in our SV

Group as well.

Our M.D's mother Late Mrs. Nachammal

Thanganna Gounder has played a great part in

grooming our M.D into such a wonderful human

being. She had always deligently and boldly guided

SV family in the right direc�on.

He is the grandson of our founder and also our

patron. He has inherited many positive qualities

from his parents and grandparents. Our E.D is highly

qualified in the finest institutions across the globe

with a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Loyola

College, Chennai, India and Master of Science in

Marketing from Manchester Business School –The

University of Manchester, England. He has

completed short courses in HRM and Finance from

London School of Economics and Political Science

(LSE), England. He also completed a Short Graduate

program in International Marketing from Harvard

University, USA, with top grades. His sincerity,

dedication, hard work and self‐discipline have

brought him numerous accolades in his career which

includes 15 Gold Medals in his Bachelor's degree in

Commerce in Loyola College, Chennai, India.

He is a young and dynamic entrepreneur who

believes in harmonious blending of modern

business techniques and traditional values. He is

well known for his shrewd, sincere and thoughtful

actions. Our E.D is always a source of great

encouragement for those who are dedicated and for

those who come out with innovative ideas and

solutions. He is an insightful and focused

businessman with great ambitions and clear

futuristic visions towards the development of our

group.

He is the son of our Managing Director's

affec�onate sister Mrs. J. Soundaram and a very

suppor�ve brother‐in law Mr. M. Jaganathan , a

man who stood by us during our difficult �mes. Our

C.E is well educated and qualified with a Bachelor of

Science degree in Business Administra�on from

Ithaca College, USA. He is an avid sportsman and a

horse‐rider who has represented India & won many

Gold Medals in several Equestrian championships

worldwide. He is extremely compassionate and

highly co‐opera�ve. Discipline, morality and

shrewdness are his greatest strengths. He is very

popular for his informal and friendly approach

towards our employees and is fondly called as “C.E”.

underprivileged. Our Managing Director's wife

Mrs. Shanthi Sivakumar serves as one of the

directors in a school for disabled in Tirupur district.

Apart from this we take care to invite the local

employment in our mills and taking care of their

health and family needs.
