We had a tre-mendous time in Sep-

tember! We started off with a trip to the Good Time 3 and had so much fun! We got to see all the awesome sites of Cleveland and watch the air show. Everyone agreed that the best part of the day was being able to enjoy time with friends and family. Thank you to all the volunteers and fami-ly that helped make this trip happen.

Our National Assisted Living Week was filled with exciting activities. We started it off with our annual Grandparents picnic on such a beautiful day, perfect weather for a courtyard picnic. Thank you to all of our families who brought in such wonderful side dishes and desserts to share.

The staff appreciation party that the resident threw for all the employees was amazing! The residents worked hard on the certificates, they ordered pizza

and wings, and it was a huge success. They picked out a couple games called Minute to Win It, and we had a blast. I want to say a special thank you to Debbie G. for all the extra work you did in helping to plan the staff appreciation party.

We also had our annual employee / family / resident baking contest. Teri C. took first place with her chocolate Carmel salted cheese. Nicole S. took second place with her chocolate car-amel poke cake. We had a very won-derful turn out with over 11 desserts. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this contest wonderful.

We had a fabulous magic show with the famous Rick Smith Jr. He was incredible. He made Michelle G. & Ni-cole S. switch minds…the residents loved it. Delores L. kept getting tons of balls multiplied in her hand. He made Bernadette I. a party hat out of shredded paper. Everyone laughed and was amazed at his magic tricks.

Next we hit the theater for an IMAX movie & lunch at Quaker steak & Lube. Rita G. said her fried shrimp was wonderful! All of the residents agreed that lunch was great!

Friday was our first annual Sen-ior Prom. It was such a huge success. All the ladies had a wide variety of prom dresses to choose from. The ladies all got their hair and makeup done.

Everyone danced and sang; it was a blast. Phil B. danced all night. Who knew he was a professional dancer. Rita G. managed to sneak a kiss from Greg P. the entertainer. Prom King and Queen was Frank & Lila J. They were so happy to be crowned. Lila J. said we don’t deserve this. Everyone, residents, families, and staff truly enjoyed this event. It was so good to see everyone so happy. We had a terrific time.

Last but not least, was our family pajama party we had a great time! Everyone enjoyed the food and camped out on the theater floor and enjoyed watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special! There is nothing better than creating good memories with friends & family!
