The Arc of Oneida County merged with the Lewis County Arc and became The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, NYSARC.The merge helped save jobs in bothregions and the ability to serve people with developmental disabilities in Lewis County.

1996

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)Passed in 1990, it is the first comprehensive civil rights law addressing the needs of people with disabilities, prohibiting discrimination in employment, public services, public accommodations and telecommunications.

The Arc moved its administrative offices to 245 Genesee Street.

The move and renovations were made possible by many supporters,

most notably RoAnn Destito, who secured a $50,000 grant for the project.
