We have increased physical distancing where possible by implementing several new interventions in our facilities.

Staggering starts, shifts and breaks to reduce the number of people in common areas.

Placing on-site tents to create more space for people at break and lunch times. We urge people to practice social distancing at these times.

Increasing spacing in cafeterias, break rooms and locker rooms.

Installing physical barriers to distance team members.

Constant cleaning of the plant and common areas. We routinely mist our plants to enhance disinfection efforts.

Providing extra hygiene products and personal protective equipment, including masks, face shields and gloves.

Providing on-site health screenings to check people who aren’t feeling well or are showing symptoms.

Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, medical professionals and the local health departments.

ACTIONS TO KEEP OUR PLANTS SAFE

We are adopting extra precautionary measures to keep our workplace safe.

Extra hand sanitizing stations are available throughout all the facilities. In addition to regular hand washing, please use the hand sanitizing stations frequently and liberally.

Our cleaning crew has increased the cleaning frequency, and is also conducting deep cleans on weekends.

In addition to these measures, we would like to reinforce important tips and habits for all of our team members to adopt in order to maintain safety and health in our workplace:

• Stop handshaking – use other noncontact methods of greeting.• Clean your hands when entering our facilities and schedule regular hand washing reminders.• Use hand sanitizer often.• Avoid touching your face, and cover coughs and sneezes.• Utilize video conferences or calls instead of in-person meetings, or consider adjusting or postponing large

meetings or gatherings. When not possible, hold meetings in open, well-ventilated spaces.• Limit food sharing and don’t share personal objects (forks, knives, spoons, phones, laptops, etc.).• Consider taking the stairs instead of the elevator and avoid small confined spaces.

AN UPDATE ABOUT OUR OPERATIONSJBS is closely monitoring Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the communities where we live and work to ensure we take the appropriate measures to protect the health and well-being of our team members. During these difficult times, we play an important role as a food company. The work we continue to do each day provides an essential benefit to millions of people in our communities.

WE DO NOT PLAN TO CLOSE OUR PLANTSRecently, many of our communities have taken actions to limit the potential spread of COVID-19, including closing schools and limiting gatherings of large amounts of people. These actions do not apply to businesses such as ours and it is important that we all do our part to stay safe and help our communities during this time.

WHY ARE WE KEEPING OUR PLANTS OPEN?As a food company, we serve a critical role in providing food to our local communities and society. Our efforts help ensure that people, including our families, have access to safe, quality food as they manage the current situation.

WE ARE KEEPING THE PLANTS SAFEWe are cleaning and disinfecting our plants as much as possible to ensure our workplaces remain safe.

TAKE ACTION TO PROTECT YOUR HEALTHHelp protect yourself by taking common sense measures such as washing your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick. If you are sick, please stay home to help protect your fellow team members.
