We are excited about seeing all of our grandparents here for Grandparents’ Day luncheon on

Friday, October 28, 2016. Below are some IMPORTANT things you need to know for this

special day.

THE MENU:

Sliced Ham, Mac and Cheese, Green Beans, Sweet Potato Casserole, Whole Grain Roll, Tea

COST OF LUNCH:

$4.00 per adult

SIGNING OUT PROCEDURES:

We are sending home “Permission to Leave” forms with students on Monday, October 24th. Parents

should send these back to school by Thursday, October 27, 2016.

If you return a permission form allowing your child to go home with the designated grandparent, then

they will sign out your child in the classroom with the teacher. If the teacher does not know the

grandparent, they will be asked to provide photo ID before they are allowed to sign them. Any

grandparents who want to sign out the child without a parent permission form will have to go to the

office and we will check their ID and call the parent to okay this request.

Please understand that there are many family custody issues and lots of safety concerns so these

procedures are in place just to ensure your child is only allowed to go home with someone whom you

have given permission.

THE LUNCH SCHEDULE:

The times for lunch is altered somewhat for today so please see the back of this sheet for the

Grandparents’ Day Lunch Schedule.

BOOK FAIR:

Our Fall Book Fair will be taking place all week (Oct. 24-28) and we encourage you to visit the Book Fair

while you are here for Grandparents’ Day. All proceeds help us buy more books for our students!
