Submitted Title and Abstract
We Are Connecting Intelligence with Smarter Systems
This ARM keynote will focus on the challenges that our industry faces as we look towards the future in 2020 when we anticipate there could be upwards of 50 billion devices connected to the internet and the majority will always be on, driving the need for ultra low energy usage coupled with intelligent sensor and connectivity technology. We will also look at how this huge market must enable new customers with simpler and highly accessible development platforms that are open to innovation but bring new products to market in short timescales. This explosion of new devices will challenge the software ecosystem to deliver efficient development flows using a ‘build-borrow-buy’ approach. There must be sensible data security that enables privacy but also enables innovation and new business models to emerge. The future has many opportunities for our industry and the ARM partnership model will help us overcome the challenges such growth will present.
