Performance notes:

Violins:

Sul tasto = bow close to the fingerboard

Sul ponticello = bow close to the bridge

Con legno battuto = hit strings with wooden part of the bow

Battuto = hit strings with bow (hair)

= From slow to fast. Number of notes is

just a reference, make sure you start very slow and end very

fast.

Vocals

When reading the text (without notes) recite in any speed you

would like but maintain a serious and loud voice. Expression

of face and movement should follow the expression of the text.

When singing, do it in the most comfortable octave but on the

indicated pitches. Most important is to do it where you can

keep your breath the longest and have most dynamicversatility.

Percussion

Both violinists should wear high heels shoes. The height or

the material of the heels depends on the performers. The sound

comes from hitting the heel on the floor with the back of the

feet. Sound should be short and percussive
