• Importance of data has a long history > 100years.• Discussions of Open Research Data & Open
Science have changed since G8 2013.• New importance of Data is recognized with the
modern digital technology.• New infrastructure as technical+social system of
data is required internationally.• WDS will play an indispensable role in the process
of making a data-centric society/community. It may enable “data driven innovation”.
