    Your headline is an important

part of the newsletter and should

    be considered carefully.

In a few words, it should accu-

    rately represent the contents of

the story and draw readers into

    the story. Develop the headline

before you write the story. This

way, the headline will help youkeep the story focused.

    Examples of possible headlines

    include Product Wins Industry

    Award, New Product Can Save

    You Time!, Membership Drive

    Exceeds Goals, and New Office

is an important part of adding

    content to your newsletter.

    Think about your article and

ask yourself if the picture sup-

    ports or enhances the message

    youre trying to convey. Avoid

    selecting images that appear to

article. Be sure to place the

caption of the image near the

    image.

    internally, you might comment

    upon new procedures or im-

    provements to the business.

    ries that focus on current

your field. You may also want to note

    business or economic trends,

    or make predictions for your

    During this half day retreat,

we will focus as a LEADER-

SHIP TEAM on where we are

and where we need to go.

    We welcome your input.

    One of the most important

    elements of the Womens

    Council of REALTORS is to

    develop Leaders not simply

    reproduce Followers.

    The Western Michigan Chap-

    ter takes this responsibility

    seriously and has provided

opportunities for members toserve in various capacities and

    to attend local and national

    meetings for those in Leader-

    ship roles.

This year, your leaders will be

    meeting together on Septem-

If you are interested in a serv-

ing on the team next year, let

us know. If you know of

    someone who would be excel-

lent in a leadership role, please

    take the initiative and invite

them to a luncheon or one of

    our events.

    Remember, we all succeed

    when we work together.
