His life
Manel Estiarte i Duocastella (born October 26, 1961 in Manresa,Spain) is a former water polo player from Barcelona,Spain.
His first played with Spain was when he was 15 years old.
He played in the Olympic Games of Moscu1980,Los Angeles 1984,Seul 1988,Barcelona 1992,Atlanta 1996 and Sidney 2000.
In 2000 he retired and was elected to the IOC.The September 12, 2001 was awarded the Prince of
Asturias Award for Sport.

• Estiarte has played 578 times for the Spanish team. With the national squad he reached the finals at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics on home soil.
• He played in the Olympic Games of Moscu 1980,Los Angeles 1984,Seul 1988,Barcelona 1992,Atlanta 1996 and Sidney 2000.
• He won the gold medal in Atlanta 1996 and silver in Barcelona in 1992 and completing his achievements with the world runners-up 1990 and 1994 European Championship 1991 and European bronze in 1983 and 1993.
