•90 feet long and 18 feet wide

The Water Witch came upon a squall not far from the Otter Creek when it was a Schooner.. It was carrying a load of iron ore and sank on April 26,1866….partly because it was weighed down. The captain, his wife, and two of their children were rescued by the crew of a passing sloop. His infant daughter went down in the schooner’s cabin. The Water Witch was discovered in 1977
