WATER TREATMENT PLANT FACILITIES MODIFICATIONS PROJECT ADDENDUM NO. 4 INVITATION FOR BID: E190015508 QUESTIONS/ANSWERS: 1. Question: Specification 083474, Part 2, Subsection 2.04, Line A on page 083474-4: states, “Manufacture doors and frames to STC rating of 59…” Subsection 2.01, Line A on page 083747- 3, lists: Basis of Design, Ambico Limited or approved equal.” Per Ambico, an STC-59 rated door cannot be UL Rated or have a vision light, as specified for these openings on the door schedule. Please advise if it would be acceptable to either lower the required STC Rating, or remove the requirements on UL Rating and Vision Lights. Answer: Specification Section 083474, Part 2, Subsection 2.04, Paragraph A: DELETE: “59”, and INSERT: “52”. 2. Question: Drawing A-801, shows “Door Schedule,” for Opening 2204. Drawing A-104 does not list Opening 2204, or Office 2204. Drawing ID-103 shows Office 2204 as an open area accessed via opening 2205. Please advise how to proceed with Opening 2204. Answer: Delete Room Tag “Office 2204” from Drawing ID-103. 3. Question: Who will be responsible for moving all furniture, equipment, etc. from spaces to be renovated? Answer: The majority of the existing furniture, chemicals, equipment, etc. in the new work areas on the 2nd floors of Plants 1 and 2 will be removed by the City prior to the beginning of work in these areas. The existing furniture in all of the existing offices will remain and will need to be temporarily moved or relocated to perform the required work. The remaining furniture, items, etc. left in the new work areas on the 1 st floor of Plant 1 and the 2 nd floors of Plants 1 and 2 will require temporary relocation and protection as needed to perform the required work in these areas. 4. Question: There is a specification section 101423 Panel Signage. The drawings do not have a signage schedule. Can you provide one? Answer: Contract drawings A-801 and A-802 have been modified accordingly. The revised contract drawings are included as Attachment A to this Addendum. 5. Question: Drawing A1, shows “Door Schedule,” for Openings B00 and 200. No hardware is specified for either opening. Please Advise. Answer: Delete Door B00. Provide 36”X45” rated access door above elevator door per Key Note 5 on sheet A2. Note: Access door is to be rated 1 HR. 6. Question: Drawing A1, shows “Door Schedule,” for Opening 200 Control Closet. Remarks are listed as “Door to match those of Facilities Modifications Project,” the facilities modification project has both Hollow Metal and Wood Doors, please advise which is the intended for this opening. Answer: Door 200 is to be a 1 HR rated door. Door material and finish is to match Door 1212. Provide 3 hinges, door closer, and storeroom lockset, and 3 silencers. ADDENDUM NO. 4

INVITATION FOR BID: E190015508

QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:

1. Question: Specification 083474, Part 2, Subsection 2.04, Line A on page 083474-4: states,

“Manufacture doors and frames to STC rating of 59…” Subsection 2.01, Line A on page 083747-

3, lists: Basis of Design, Ambico Limited or approved equal.” Per Ambico, an STC-59 rated door
