StarJet® – skid-mounted for existing trucksFor customers who want a StarJet system without a new truck (as an upgrade, or for a non-U.S. chassis), we provide them skid-mounted. They can be customized with the appropriate pump unit, single or dual heads, and a choice of smaller-job accessories.

StripeJet™ – maneuverability for short-line jobs

The compact StripeJet™ handles areas with limited access, such as parking decks, intersections, and airport aprons and gate areas.

A short wheelbase and tight turning radius make the StripeJet easy to maneuver while maintaining a smooth, consistent speed (forward or reverse). Options include vacuum recovery and heads with cleaning paths from 8” to 24” (203mm to 610mm).

Vortex™ – a walk-behind unit for small jobs

The semi-automated Vortex™ is ideal for smaller marking removal jobs that cannot justify complete systems but are too big for manual water jetting. These easy-to-handle units utilize NLB’s patented SPIN JET® technology at 40,000 psi (2,800 bar) pressure, with vacuum recovery.

The StarJet is a fully-integrated system that can remove up to 7,000 linear feet of markings per hour as it drives along , or 10,000 square feet (or more) of runway rubber.

The heavy-duty truck has front-

mounted rotating water jet heads, robotically positioned from the cab. The system includes a water tank, high-pressure pump, vacuum system to recover water and debris, and debris tank, all carried on the truck bed.

StarJet® features and benefits

1a. Dual rotating heads maximize coverage, with 20-plus configurations that let you choose 8” to 24” paths for stripe removal and 20” to 60” for rubber removal.

1b. Maintenance is simplified throughout the system. Nozzle changes are easy, and an auto-service mode positions the head for ready access. The UHP pump features long-life packing (800 to 2,000 hours) and seals. A new UHP seal in the front end doubles the life of the previous seal.

2. Robotic assembly positions heads (raise/lower/sweep/extend/retract/rotate) hydraulically and is operated from the cab.

3. Ergonomic control console in cab has touch screen, joystick and lighted switches. It includes adjustable skip line controls so the truck can advance between skips.

4. High-uptime ULTRA-CLEAN® pump (up to 10 times higher than other pumps) consistently delivers 40,000 psi water with minimal parts wear and low operating cost.

5. Water reclamation system offers 3 waste handling options and allows 8-10 hours of operation between water tank refills. Vacuum recovery features include noise reduction and washable filter element.

These hardworking pumps deliver water pressure of up to 40,000 psi (2,800 bar) and are easily accessible for maintenance. Should you need to run them at a lower pressure, conversion takes just 20 minutes.

While some water jet systems try to operate on power diverted from the truck engine, the StarJet provides three dedicated sources of horsepower: one for the truck, one for the pump, and one for the vacuum system. So you don’t have to worry that the truck engine will overload and cause downtime and service expense.

pumps in the industry, NLB pumps are the only ones guaranteed against parts failure.

Under the one-year program that comes with every StarJet, we’ll replace any component that fails at no charge, so long as all procedures in NLB’s operating manual have been followed. Our optional five-year program goes

even further, providing a full set of replacement parts that let you keep working while we refurbish the originals for free. In neither case is NLB responsible for labor, freight or any consequential damage.
