HAIKU
Haiku 俳句 is a form of Japanese poetry, consisting of 17 moras (syllables), in three phrases of 5, 7, and 5 moras respectively. Haiku typically contain a seasonal reference, and the topic is always related to nature. They usually describe a landscape and involve diverse feelings such as nostalgia, pain, love, humour...
The goals of the project are:
- To deal with rhyme, rhythm and other phonetic concepts which would otherwise be outside the reach of my students.- To make a creative and artistic use of the English language, in order to express feelings.- To integrate language and images in order to design their works.
The following is a selection of their works.
