Landfill gas to green electricity and central heating

Construction start: 1985

Number of gas wells: over 100

Gas content: 50 – 60% methane

Capacity: 6 million Nm3 per year

The gas is extracted through a network of pipes, gas drains and gas wells in the landfill.

The landfill gas supply the equivalent of 3.450 private houses in Helsingborg a year.
