Farm to School for TVUSD
Did You Know? Temecula Fresh Food has been growing it’s Farm to School Program for the past 6 years. It started by introducing a
unique melon from a local farmer. Now, Temecula Fresh Food offers over 15 different types of local produce throughout the year. Any produce with a symbol next to it on the menu means it is a locally grown fruit or vegetable. Some of the produce we offer throughout the year is grown as close as De Luz. The tangelos we serve later in the year are grown only 10 minutes from Great Oak High School! The strawberries we serve, can be purchased at the farm stand located near the corner of Margarita Rd. & Rancho California Rd. Be sure to
encourage your student to make half their plate fruits and vegetables. Each elementary school has a salad bar and students may take as much as they can eat!
