CMRE© Previewed at SemiahmooPili Meyer and Mike Schoonover previewed their new certification class, Certified Military Relocation Expert, on Wednesday at the Washington REALTORS spring meeting.
This class is designed to assist REALTORS in gaining the expertise necessary to assist Active Duty Military and Veterans in achieving their housing goals.
“This is our effort to ‘Serve Those Who Served Us’ as the tagline says,”
Said Schoonover.
To become a CMRE, a REALTOR will take the class plus a one hour webinar with a lender.
An additional five points will be required which can be gained by being a veteran, a member of a military family or participating in a VA transaction.
For more information, call Tonya Deskins at Washington REALTORS.

This event was begun in 2009 when Washington was the first state to attempt a statewide event. The nationwide open house event began several years ago in a few areas of the United States, but has since expanded to hundreds of communities, in which real estate professionals not only use it to spotlight homes for sale but also use it as an opportunity to
educate the public about the benefits of home ownership, according to the National Association of Realtors.Several countries internationally are also taking part, including real estate professionals in Canada, Denmark, France, Sweden, United Kingdom, Peru, and others. The event, on Saturday and Sunday, falls in the midst of what is typically prime buying season, the association said in a news release
