WASHINGTON/OAK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT UPDATE
July 15, 2015
As you can see below, the project is really getting into full swing now that the Independence Day holiday and Graffiti weekend are over. Work will be spread throughout the project area as the contractor continues underground utility work, sidewalk work, storm drainage improvements and begins installation of conduit and street light bases. Work Schedule: Over the next two weeks, the contractor is scheduled to do the
following: July 13 22 Continue underground utility work at Washington & Main and at
Washington & Jackson. July 21 27 Water line installation at Oak & Main July 27 30 Water line installation at Oak & Jackson July 14 21 Remove & replace sidewalks on south side of Oak. Install storm at
Rose & Oak. July 20 23 Install (bore) electrical conduit and install street light bases on west
side of Main Street. July 24 29 Install electrical conduit and light pole bases on east side of Kane
Street. July 24 Saw-cut the Oak & Main and Oak & Jackson intersections. July 27 28 Begin excavation and storm drainage work at the Oak & Main
intersection.
Please note that the schedule above is subject to change but is the best information we have at this time.
Work Hours: 5 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday Traffic Impacts: Traffic impacts will be more dispersed as the contractor works at
several different areas simultaneously. During utility work, the contractor will continue to have half of affected the intersection(s) closed. Other intermittent lane closures will occur for sidewalk replacement and boring operations.
