How to load your dishesBefore washing, a few small steps can help you get a better wash and keep your dishwasher for longer.Remove the largest scraps of food left over on your plates, soak saucepans and frying pans with toughincrustations. After loading your dishes, make sure the blades on the sprayer arm turn well

    upper racklower rack

First of all. Before placing the dishes in theracks, remove the largest scrapsof food left over on your plates, youwill thus avoid blocking the filter, which would reduce the efficacyof the wash.If the saucepans and frying pansare very dirty, allow them to soakbefore being washed. To make iteasier to load your dishes, pull theracks out.

What goes into thelower rack?We recommend you place the mostdifficult dishes to wash into thelower rack: saucepans, lids, soupdishes and plates (a load exampleis shown in the photo).

Serving dishes and largelids: place them on the sidesof the rack.Saucepans, salad bowls:must always be placed upsidedownVery deep dishes: place

them obliquely, thus allowingwater to run down them andcleaning them better

The cutlery basket is equipped withtwo removable grids: insert thecutlery one by one into the slots, with the handles at the bottom.Knives and utensils with sharpblades or tips should be positionedwith the sharp parts at the bottom..Position them so that they don'ttouch. The appliance can also be equippedwith one or two tip-up compart-ments onto which you can placemugs and cups, as well as long sharpknives and serving cutlery.

    Load examples

What goes into theupper rack?Place delicate and lightweight di-shes in the upper rack: glasses, teacups and coffee cups, saucers - butplates too - shallow salad bowls, slightly dirty frying pans andshallow pans (the photo illustratesa few examples).Position lightweight dishes in sucha way as to avoid their being mo-

ved by the spray of water. After loading the dishes, remem-ber to check that the blades on the

sprayer arms can turn freely wi-thout knocking against any dishes.

How to adjust the toprack. The upper rack can be set in highor low position to enable you toorganise your dishes effortlessly.

Open the rail stop flaps and pull therack out completely. Now place it inhigh or low position, then slide italong the guide rails until the frontwheels also go in. Now close the railstop flaps. Follow the sequence ofactions illustrated in figure "F".

WarningThree-in-one dishwasher tablets are now available on the market, and combine the detergent, salt and rinse aidall in one. If the water in your area is hard or very hard, we still recommend you pour extra salt into therelevant dispenser to prevent the formation of white streaks on your dishes or on the appliance interior.

Add rinse aid to the corresponding container only if you are dissatisfied with the results on your dishes. In any case, please read the manufacturer's instructions provided on the packet. completely, unscrew andremove the container cap

    2. Is it the first time you load thesalt? First fill the container upwith water (you won't have todo this again next time)

    3. Put the dishwasher funnel on the

hole and pour in approximatelytwo kilos of salt. It is normalthat some water comes out of the container.

    4. Screw the cap back in placecarefully.

    Water in your home

Low Salt IndicatorThis green device is located at the

centre of the cap for thedecalcification cartridge and itindicates whether the container isfull. When the indicator is not visible itmeans that the supply of salt mustbe replenished .

Salt adjustmentYour dishwasher can adjust its saltconsumption according to the hard-ness of the water in your home. This way, you can optimise andcustomise your dishwasher's saltconsumption (not too much, nor toolittle). To adjust salt consumption, do asfollows:1. Unscrew the salt container cap2. There is an arrow on the neck of

the container (see figure): if necessary, turn the arrow anti-clockwise from the "-" settingto the "+" setting.

    Select the arrow position

depending on the water hardness, referring to the table provided.

You don' t know how hard thewater in your

home is? Ask thecompany tha t

supplies water in your area .

Water hardness varies according to where you live. If the water in your home ishard, without water softening, incrustations would form on your dishes. Yourdishwasher is fitted with a water softener which uses special salt to get rid of limescale in the water.

Using your electric household appliances wisely helps you make savings and isgood for the environment.

    Savings are easy

Maximum load.To optimise consumption levels, try to use thedishwasher with a full load only. If it takesquite some time to fill up your dishwasher,

use the soak cycle to avoid the formation of bad odours and caked-on food.

The right wash cycle.Select the most suitable wash cycle for thetype of load you have placed in the dishwasher. The choice of wash cycle depends on the type

of dishes to wash and on how dirty they are.To select the right wash cycle, please consultthe wash cycle table on page 17.

How to look after and protectthe dishes you hold dear

s For particularly delicate dishes,we recommend you use thespecific wash cycle offered byyour dishwasher.

    Suggestions and advice for you.

Apart f rommaking you savet ime and energy,

your di shwasherdisinfects yourdishes, washing them at a high

    t em pe r a t u r e .

s Silver plates and serving dishesshould be washed immediatelyafter use, especially if they havecontained salt, eggs, olives, mustard, vinegar, fruit juicesand cooked vegetables.

s Almost all silverware can becleaned in a dishwasher. There are two exceptions: oldsilverware and silverware

decorated with an oxidisingagent. Hot water can loosenthe handles on old silverwaread wear off the decorations onthe other.Never let silverware come intocontact with other metals: youwill thus avoid stains andblackening

Cleaning and special maintenanceThe filter assemblyIf you want consistent good resultsfrom your dishwasher, you need toclean the filter assembly. The food particles are removedfrom the wash water, allowing it tobe recirculated during the cycle, filtered perfectly. For this reason,it is a good idea to remove the lar-ger food particles trapped inside thesemi-circular filter A and cup

C after each wash; to remove thefilter assembly, pull the cup handleupwards. All you need to do is rinsethem under running water. The entire filter assembly shouldbe cleaned thoroughly once a mon-

    th: semi-circular filter A + cup C +cylindrical filter B+ microfilter D.To remove filter B , turn it anti-clockwise. Use a small non-me-tallic brush for cleaning.

Reassemble the filter parts (as sho-wn in the figure) and reinsert thewhole assembly into the dishwa-sher. Position it into its housing andpress downwards. The dishwasher is not to be usedwithout filters. Improper replace-ment of the filters may reduce theefficiency of the wash and evendamage your dishwasher.
