PLASTI&PACKPAKISTANwas held from 4 – 6 September at Expo Center Lahore. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, Provincial Minister for Mines & Minerals. The minister was accompanied by Mr. Sohail Lashari, President Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Mr. Ali Morani, Chairman Flexible Packaging Association of Converters of Pakistan (FLEXPAC).

The exhibition brought unprecedented business and investment opportunities for the buyers and suppliers of plastics, printing and packaging machinery and materials. It was an active collaboration of local and international industry players seeking long term business linkages.

There were many significant participations from Europe, Asia & Middle East and Far Eastern countries this year. Yizumi Injection Molding China showed up in Pakistan Market for the first time as well as Reverte Polycarbonate Spain and BHS Corrugation from UAE. Another first from UAE was Concept Flexible Packaging Company. Global Star made its 2nd consecutive appearance in PLASTI&PACK on a larger scale. Macchi Extrusions also came for the 2nd time as an exhibitor so as Ustun Plastik Turkey. Hypet China is a regular exhibitor of Plasti&Pack since many years. Ingenia Polymers was another company from Luxemburg who came to explore Pakistan Market for the first time through the exhibition platform of Plasti&Pack.

Apart from the strong international participation, local giants like Gatronova, D. E. Technics, Factdate, Continental Print & Pack, Mediplas, Technoworld Instruments, Nadeem Engineering, Megatech Global, S. A. Rahman and many others also contributed to the long list of exhibiting companies.

The highlighting feature of the exhibition was the participation of high profile offset printers Ehtesham Packages, Converters like Continental Print & Pack and packaging experts like Alpha Containers under the concurrent show; PRINT PAPER & LABEL. It was initiated a year ago in concurrence with Plasti&Pack Pakistan to add up offset printing and flexible conversion so that a complete display cycle of related technologies could be gathered under one roof.

Plasti&Pack Pakistan 2014 concluded with a positive feeling that exhibitors are going home with buying orders.
