Mission: The member communities of Warren County Hometown Pride bring volunteers together to build a sense of community, create and improve public amenities, and celebrate what makes our hometowns great.
County-wide Promoting tourism in Warren County (partnership w/WCEDC and local Chambers of Commerce)
Carlisle Bike Rodeo, June 2nd Mobile Community Gardens New Playground in South Lindhardt Park (Phase 1 installed Dec 2018; Fundraising for Final Phase is complete) 2nd annual Block Party Photo contest “Adopt-a-highway” for Highway 5
Cumming Welcome bags for new residents Trail wayfinding signs Public Art plan
Hartford (Hartford Betterment Committee) Fundraising for new playground equipment (Partnering with playground committee) Music in the Park Memorial bench and arbor in park Community Garage Sale

Just a few examples of what we’ve done so far this year…
Hometown Pride projects have received more than $90,000 in grants and other large contributions this year! A partial list includes:
Warren County Veteran's Memorial (Norwalk): $43,000 New Playground in Carlisle: $23,000, Milo Centennial Park restroom renovations: $5,000 Mobile community gardens in Carlisle: $1,120 Artistic bike racks in Norwalk (with City of Norwalk): $4,875 Trail -to-downtown connection in Carlisle (Partnership with Carlisle
Chamber of Commerce): $2,500 Wagon O’ Fun (games for summer events): $2,000 (funded by
5210)
Mobile Community Gardens (Carlisle) – A pilot project to see how the community responds to the idea of a community garden.
Welcome Bags (Cumming) – The community expects to welcome hundreds of new residents over the next few years, and our Hometown Pride crew is ready for them!
Mural (Norwalk) – Hometown Pride worked with the high school art teacher and her students to secure a site and materials for them to paint a mural.
Yard of the Month (Indianola) – This award helps encourage residents to take pride in their properties, and has had a lot of positive buzz.
